This facility is under new ownership and are blatantly ripping people off by charging an 18% "fuel recovery fee" for all and any garage dropped off! It is not posted on the scale house anywhere!! When you pay your tipping fee then you see it! This should be clearly posted for the public and they are clearly taking advantage of the public. I won't be EVER coming back to do business with them. When regional/budget was there I never bad issues like this! Be aware of the scam go to city dump as it's actually cheaper and the scale is accurate!

Scale does not even show weight when leaving. Charging scam fuel surcharge fee. $20 for a small load of garbage. They even told me they "sort" the garbage which i highly doubt. what a rip off. Large monopoly scamming everyone as usual.

Staff is good but outgoing weigh scale is not accurate. I went to Kenora dump station for my second load of the day and my empty weight was different by over 100kg. And no I didn't fill up my gas tank between dump runs.

Showed up at 4:40. Website says they close at 4:50PM. Had to drive back in with the family vehicle filled with garbage till the next morning... One of the bare minimum of running a business is following working hours. seems pretty lazy to me.

My first time to the Gage Street location and when I arrived I wasn’t sure where to go the scale house lady inside came out right away and had told me how the yard works she was very pleasant and let me know the gentleman in the yard would direct me on exactly where to take my garbage. This made my experience a lot easier thank you York 1 I definitely will be back

I was here yesterday for the first time. I dropped by twice with loads. The staff are nice, enthusiastic, and down to earth. Also, the rates are reasonable. Thumbs up.
