If you are a business STAY AWAY. Read carefully:

1- Rope you in with low fees, but then start increasing fees. Our charges increased 40% within three years - no changes to our service.

2 - Make it very difficult to cancel with large penalties. You have a 30 day period every year to cancel. If you don't cancel in that time frame you pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars in penalties.

3 - Their automatic payment system does not work. They transitioned to banking and no credit cards, unless you pay a $15 credit card transaction fee for each payment. We entered our banking details and it was approved but found out months later we were being charged 'late payment' fees. They were never able to deduct banking info and now I have to manually pay by credit card with an additional $15 per transaction.

Other crazy fees. We asked for a hard top, they delivered soft top and told me that to change it to hard top, they will charge an additional monthly $200 fee (never mentioned before).

You have a fence? Be prepared to pay an additional $200 monthly fee to slide the gate open. City of Calgary charges zero dollars for a fence.

In the beginning with this company everything was pretty good but now it is gone absolutely South. They completely overcharge we missed one day and needed them to come back and they charged me well over $300 to come back and empty the bin they are now trying to charge me 6 months of service because I wish to cancel which I was completely unaware of horrible customer service do not use this company I've tried to get them to remove the bin and I'm resorting to having a tow truck pick it up and take it to their yard cuz they will not cooperate with me it is absolutely ridiculous what a horrible company you will regret using this company if you hire them I highly suggest you do not use this company whatsoever!

Bad company with predatory contracts and billing practices. Horrible customer service reps. Expect the invoices to be substantially higher than expected. As per usual the guys doing the work, picking up bins are great. Rest of the company, not so much.

Stay away from WM - one of our managed property inherited WM services and they are expensive, terrible customer service (my manager went to their office 4 times trying to switch over the account to us still unsuccessful, everyone just pushing the ball around), signed up for autopay and they sent us all email proof for payments only to find out months later that they were never charged and now they just issue you a letter of demand through a collection agency with a bunch of extra and excessive charge. Tried to speak to WM CS and they said this has been sent to collections and they can't talk to us (yup!). If you want to be treated like a normal customer, avoid at all cost.

Poor communication and service, semi-annual price increases are significantly higher than what is listed on their terms and conditions. Do no honour terms and conditions and do not try and resolve customer issues but have an "is what it is" mentality.

Ordered a roll off bin to a more remote area in BC. Being an Alberta resident I was unable to be present for the drop off. My directions were followed to the letter and everything was done within expectations. I couldn't have asked for better service. 100% recommend WM. Great communication, excellent service and great with time lines. Good value pricing as well.

The Calgary management is very poor. Their driver has so much power not to pick up in winter. All they need to say is "Weather delay". They did not come pick up a month already.You want them to come again,they charge $175. They did not honor the contract fee. City truck can come down to pick-up our neighbors garbage.Their driver didn't want to come down. Their problem can be easily solved, it is the problem with the brain of the management. We have to meet the New Year with messy garbage!

WM has become too big and lost that ability to connect with clients. I was a client for over a decade, sadly I am leaving for a smaller company who is excited for new business.
WM phone operators are good 1/5 times, and some have even blamed me for the higher rates that I’m paying, and I agree with him, I’m not sticking around to pay their higher rates. Shame on me if I take his abuse and continue to pay for it. See ya later WM!
