The traffic from you facility often affects Kent rd there's days where we have had to wait in line for 15 to 20 minutes just to get past it should he your responsibility to deal with traffic as it directly influenced by your business hire some flaggers or something

Sharon & Helen were amazing! Drove in and on to the scale, waited 2-3 minutes at door 1, drove out and on to the scale. Saturday middle of the day! $19 for a couch, chair, & coffee table. Thank you very much ladies!

As I try to do a renovation of my home in Vancouver….It’s becoming clear that attempting to use the transfer station or landfill is not an option. Every trip is a forensic examination of every item that is being dumped by city workers who are uneducated in what is or isn’t hazardous….if in doubt…it is rejected. Today’s misadventure was having old wool insulation rejected as “I’ve never seen that before”. This adds unnecessary time and cost to an already expensive process….in a very expensive city. Perhaps it’s time to consider waste to energy gasification whereby we can eliminate most, if not all, human interaction with waste …..which appears to be too hazardous to handle, anyway. For the time being….private recycling sites in delta and surrey are cheaper and less of a hassle.

It’s a good place to dump however for the last few months there is never more than one kiosk open for checking everyone in. And the city trucks have priority. Therefore you can get in line and sit there for upwards of 45 minutes or more. The traffic then jacks onto Kent Avewhich is only a 2 way street. So people not going to the dump get trapped in this ridiculously long line as well.

They desperately need to prioritize getting people thru here faster. I’m on the clock when I’m here and spending hours wasted in line is just unreasonable.

Open more kiosks and at least get traffic off Kent Ave

This is the worst managed dump/transfer station I have ever needed to use. All senior staff should be replaced. Today it took me an hour to do what should have taken 10 minutes.

Both facility and staff are great. The only thing that they could do on their website is to at least add the proper holiday hours on. I’ve noticed a few times that even when it says open, the doors are locked. Every time I’ve been during the holidays I’ve seen people there thinking it’s open. I’m sure lots of people would appreciate that.

Thanks for your great work.
