An incredibly POSITIVE experience with TRINITY 🙏
We embarked on an ambitious Efficiency Nova Scotia HomeWarming project last year and it came into fruition this March 2025. This project involved several exchanges of documents and paperwork, a few trips by the Trinity staff to evaluate the scope of work required, and coordination of more than 1/2 a dozen home visits by the TRINITY staff.
Eventually when all the ducks were in a row, we managed to get the entire project completed with over 10 different trades people dropping in with their expertise and talents. We had the following done:
👉🏿Full evaluation of the entire home to see where there was heat loss - the energy guide.
👉🏿There was a Core Evaluation of insulation of outdoor walls. All walls were fully insulated so no additional insulation was required.
👉🏿The basement walls were installed with R11 (+/‐ 2 inches) of 2 lb. closed cell spray foam to basement exterior walls, approximately 953 sq. ft. Also, installed R20 (+/‐ 3.5 inches) of 2 lb. closed cell spray foam to basemen trim joist, approximately 102 sq. ft.
👉🏿The spray foam on the basement walls and rim joist were covered with Monokote (fire barrier) as per building code, approximately 1055 sq. ft.
👉🏿A Gree 18000 BTU was installed on our main floor open area.
👉🏿There was a subtle nasty air leak under our bathroom sink and the crew returned to diagnose and seal this culprit.
We wholeheartedly thank all the booking, management and working teams of TRINITY that have sealed and “warmed-up” our over 120 year old home. Your team was a wonderful treat to have at our home and professionally bring it up-to-date to modern day heating standards.
Best Wishes from our insulated home in New Glasgow,
Freedom and Leela

Complaint sent to Efficiency Nova Scotia and being escalated.
Trinity Energy Group failed to swap nine incandescent light bulbs during their initial visit as part of the free energy efficient upgrades via Efficiency Nova Scotia.
A visual inspection done by the installer through the light covers and assumptions were made that nine light bulbs were energy efficient (which were incorrect, they were all incandescent light bulbs)
Took matters independently, and upgraded the light bulbs myself and opted out for a third visit due to lack of my time and energy with this company.
Service quality must be improved by this company as they are dealing with a provincial wide program, and a lack of being efficient is costly to the participants, province and provincial funds.
In response Trinity Home Solutions
“Misleading Claims”. As mentioned clearly to both parties involved, these 9 light bulbs were found recently after the upgrades from Trinity and HomeSol were completed ( recently meaning; when I started my own upgrade after the free program was completed)
Once the free upgrades were completed, I started to do my own upgrades, and “six week after the visit”, due to the lengthy wait appointments from Trinity and HomeSol, these lights were discovered.
Email was sent right after the discovery, and I no longer wished to deal with Trinity ( for the third time, regarding the same program upgrade).
Mind you the second visit was due to the fact that the Mysa Controllers were left without proper installation, and the installer assumed I knew how to program it ( the fact is; Trinity is responsible to set up all devices and light bulbs on the first visit). Individuals don’t have time to waste after their inefficient visits.
And yes the light bulbs were refunded, not by Trinity Home Solutions, but by Efficiency Nova Scotia due to the horrible experience with the company.
Open communication was made, and the public needs to know and be aware in advance regarding any experiences, and not limited to only good ones.
Google review is a tool created for matters like this. I can also upload all the emails that were sent to all parties if Trinity Home Solutions wants a clear and transparent record for the public to know and understand.
Kindly do not change the narrative or viewpoint that is Benifits ones company, state the facts. Own up to the mistake made and the bad experiences provided.
One visit, max two visits to rectify issues. A third visit is where I personally draw the line.
You may contact me if you would like to discuss further, as I will not be adding anymore time or energy regarding this matter.

Honestly this group is wonderful. I got my basment spray foamed the other day and new insulation in the attec!
I was amazed on how nice everyone who came was, they explained everything to me and was very courteous! They swept up after themselves(iv never seen that before) and even put down walking mats to not make the floor muddy! and did the job perfect. Truly such a great team and people. Definitely recommend!!

They installed A unit in my parents trailer in PEI through the Heat Pump Program.
My father is in Palliative care in this unit and the Heat Pump has not worked s
probably all summer.
Endless calls and a tech shows up and resets breaker. Great worked for a day of two. Again Endless calls to get a tech to show up. Yes I can be rude under duress. Rodney Calls me back and says that the warranty is up and find a new repair man as I am being difficult.
95 year man in Palliative care in home
no a/c,no.service and now u have to find a new repair man.
From my experience,
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING

I have had Trinity Energy Group do a number of jobs for me, in every case they have been excellent. The last job was adding more insulation to my attic. Not only was the price they quoted very fair but the crew that did the work were excellent. They were friendly, informative and helpful. I couldn't ask for a better outcome to the job.

Couldn't ask for better service. They were polite , caring , and efficient. They put insulation into my attic and went above and beyond to make sure there would never be doubt that every inch is well protected.
Really appreciate this team !

I'm not really one for doing Google reviews but our experience with Trinity Energy Group has been terrible in 40 years of owing our home. First under the homewarming program when a Energy assessment was done. It seemed like it was made up. Trinity was offering a 12000btu gree pular. Than we switched Homewarming and OPHA combined. They offered an option of 9000btu than. ( Got even lower offering ). 2( x) 9000btu wall units. Our home is 634sq +/- few sq foot with 8 foot ceilings with split entry. ( each floor ). Everywhere I asked and looked up online calculators to determine what size Heat pump for our home was 12000btu atleast at each head unit. Maybe some other contractors can chine in on this as well.. ( There is 7 windows upstairs ). Apartments maybe sure a 9000btu would work. Because there is 3 or 2 walls around them with heated other apartments radiating heat. But we have a House Split entry.. Home was built in the 80's. They have formulas sure with draft test with F or J calculations. But our heat pump assessment size from door draft seemed made up.. 12000 I had mentioned .Trinity should be available. For each floor.. Asking 2 12000btu wall units with each own outside unit ( inverter ). 2 imdoor 12000 btu wall units and 2 inverters outside . Eaxh head with its own inverter. Not a multisplit..( because of it breaks the inverter outside, more than likey lose all inside heating from heatpumps... Have each inverter for each wall unit , atleat of one brraks the other outside unit would ba good back up option ) . Trinity and I had talked a bit.but some emails were not answered when I asked some general questions. Such to make sure they are 220v. And what model.. I was giving an AHRi number that is associated with each assigned heat pump. My findings were a gree lomo 23 . Is this cold climate certified?
So while asking questioned I asked to go no further until some answers were answered. Some questions got ignored. ( Than Trinity asked was a electrician out for visit yet ). At the time it wasn't. But couldn't understand why going forward with that Almost seemed like tried push off quote to ENS. I couldn't understand this because nothing was totally agreed upon.. while I was waiting for answers to some questions since this goes on our home.. so after Trinity offered 12000btu .. The Request the electrician showed me was had 9000btu heat pump for an estimate cost to install for a quote.. Why was that there is 12000btu Trinity last offered. The electrician would have to work off that quote which had 9000btu which is too small for a 634sq foot home.
There is alot of conflicting information. Because after I seen the quite . Trinity finally emailed and mentions offering again of 12000 btu heat pumps.. but again why was 9000btu on the electrician quote. That's what any contractor would go by.
Also what's conflicting is Trinity said that they can't tell me what model heat pump thier using until electrician was in for a quote.. my question is why did Trinity know a gree 12000btu model and name pular 12000 was being sent in to ENS before the electrician quote was done that? Under Homewarming.
Also Trinity also told me the ASHP. Number that he was proposing which I looked up was a 12000btu lomo 23 to my findings. ASHP 7091971 ASHP. Point is Trinity knew this first that all of a sudden saying they don't know what model.? Same under first program they knew before a electrician was out.. 12000btu gree pular..
Also if it's gree 12000btu proposing. Lomo 23 series.. This model don't seem as cold efficient in ratings..
Trinity and I were also emailing back and fourth , We didn't wasn't work going further for estimates until some questions were answered. Model and btu size.. and wall brackets so frost don't affect the lines on ground stands causing risk of leaks. Plus asked Trinity for.12000btu cold climate heat pump heads (x2 ) one for each floor but with each separate inverter units. 2 outside units incase one broke down.
