I spent $40k+ having sullivans install my boilers, generator and tanks. Things were fine, until I found out that they were charging me 20c+ more a litre than I could get elsewhere. I decided to move service, the company I replaced them with removed the tanks, returned them to sullivans and I got a refund for the propane in the tanks. I had only had 2 of them installed Feb 1 - it's now May 31. 4 months ago. They wouldn't refund the annual tank fee because there was "damage" to the tanks that were "brand new" when they were installed. They were in fact NOT brand new, the tops wouldn't stay in place from day 1, they were scratched and ding-ed up when they were installed here, and I mistakingly did not document this before they were removed. The company is charging me to refurbishing the tanks, which they would have had to do anyway because they don't want to incur the costs. Pathetic for a company who is making bank overcharging their clients to nickel and dime people over an insignificant issue that would have been required even if they removed them themselves. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING AND SHOP PRICES AROUND EVERYONE because they will take serious advantage of you and blame it on you.

Follow up: when I addressed the way this was handled when I went in to get my refund for the fuel in the tanks, I was told I was lied to, but also that there’s nothing they would do. Just steer clear, blaming the client for something that they can’t control, lying to them, admitting to such, and still nickel and dime-ing people. It’s despicable business practices.

I called for a service repair guy at 6pm who said he had one stop before my house. At 1030pm we called him back wondering where he was since our pipe burst and we had no heat. He said he showed up but we waited by the door for him since making the call and then he told us he wasn't going back out yet is supposed to be on call for such things and lied to us about showing up nor did he bother calling us like he said. It was great having no heat in my house with my two kids. It was nothing but a waste of my time calling this place.

Sullivan's is a huge supporter of charitable causes in the community and a good corporate citizen. Great and timely service too, but watch out for after-hours delivery fees.
