Very surprised to see so many people were there to line up, was a great experienced to show our kids how to sort the recycled materials and they works everyday.

I would like to know where I can recycle motor oil now. I am recycling five litres of motor oil here, six bottles in total. Recycling fee $40. I already paid the recycling fee when I bought the oil. Why double charging?

I came in today and went around to look for a cart then felt nauseous over a sickness I’ve been recovering. This South Asian short, stubby lady with a ponytail kept saying “hello” to me and told me to go the other side in such a rude tone. I responded telling her to “stop I’m feeling sick” because I felt like throwing up. Then told her “I know what I’m doing”. Then she laughed and told her other co-workers about it then proceeded to making me feel hostile.

She didn’t want to deal with me so she asked her colleague to work on my recyclables. Her colleague went over to me and looked at my items. She removed items like my oat milk cartons that normally gets taken each time I come here, and she said “we don’t take those”. I looked at her and said, “your website says you do, check it.” She kept saying no then looked over the short, stubby lady with a ponytail and laughed. I said “okay, I won’t take them with me, you can recycle them” Then she gave me the money and left.

If you’re an employer of this depot and reading this, teach your staff compassion and respect. Instead, I received hostility and passive aggressive bullying from your staff. Terrible and piece of crap customer service.

Have been coming here for years. Very helpful staff who remain friendly despite numerous clients who dump and run items that are not accepted there.
Just want to thank the staff for a job well done.
Additionally you can take items deemed hazardous and dispose for a small cost. Please keep your chemicals out of the landfill and bring them to South Vancouver Bottle Depot and pay to have them disposed properly.

Easy parking. The lady refused to take 2 water bottles out of 30 because "no money for bottles without labels". She had no answer when asked why.
Are we recycling bottles or labels? Labels fall off sometimes. I will go elsewhere next time.

A place to bring your recycling items. Facility is quite large. Once you have finished your returns they offer a station to clean your hands. They have the Express Return terminal which simplifies your returns. Large busy parking lot. #letsguide #covid

Fine bottle depot. Best part is the free, close and abundant parking. Also recently they repainted the parking lot, making all the parking spots larger. Great idea, it is much better now.
