Our experience with Kuby was amazing, right from the beginning with Firefly introduction. We had a fairly large system (20kw) installed which also required an electrical panel upgrade. I had many questions throughout the process and I always had answers quickly. When it was time to install the system both crews were super friendly and very professional and experienced (panel & solar installs). System is up and running for just over a month now, and I’m super happy. Can’t wait for spring to see what this system can really do! I would have no issues recommending Kuby to my friends and family. A+

Our installation processes have been great with Kuby, our install team was Alex, Russell, and Finnigan and I was very happy with the nice clean work: I work in datacenters and appreciate cleanly installed power systems.

I kind of wish I had gotten a quote directly from Kuby, because purchased with a partner and have had major delays and additional costs due to lack of responsiveness and incorrect info from the direct sales team, but it's all done now but the final paperwork for Greener Homes.

(KUBY RIP OFF) (Dont Buy) NO RECOMENDATION Ive seen very little return on 17 panels total 7.48kw Solar System by KUBY. They did great job setting it up the way they wanted to when it finally arrived. However…They ripped me off in a couple ways first they did a swap of 440w panels instead of 450w Which I had ordered initially even installed microgens that are outdated and aren’t being made anymore. Second the actual install on my almost flat roof was just that, FLAT, doesnt self clean, doesnt absorb as much sun as it could. I have to get on roof clean them periodically, REALLY should i have to do that? Pain!

First month KUBY installed, some panels were not working properly on AP Systems midday. Couple bad panels or microgen that were suppose to be new? Seems like they just give you whatever old product they have.

Months went almost no microgen credits on our bill. We wanted to see this system work to save us money on our bill…

The other important factor I will disclose to you guys, big portion of why this system didnt perform with more endurance in the days is the fact that the setup of panels means alot to its ability to capture energy. First If panels are basically laying flat they will capture more dirt snow, debris like pine needles etc then the sun. Impossible to self clean properly laying flat. Angled with slope towards sun you would have a system that could self clean properly while capturing max energy. At setup I had to mention not to install directly underneath our pine trees for the obvious reason. Under impression they would install with greatest energy use in mind and self cleaning ability of the panels. Our roof is basically flat very little slope. They said best they could do is 20% slope yet we didnt get any slope on our install. THIS IS BIG PROBLEM on our House. Ive monitored AP Sytems Ive cleaned off panels throughout year. KUBY FAILED this Install

I sent KUBY my electricity bills for a year, with less than $150 microgen credits for the entire year and they just play it as it’s doing what it should be doing. That’s not impressive in any way.

Recently I asked KUBY if I can upgrade the system. It will cost more than I initially paid year half ago and it’s for less than half the system? To change angle on each solar panel so they can self clean and absorb better, KUBY quoted over $1100 each panel mounting product.... cost just for MOUNTING each panel which adds up very quickly. Soooooo expensive its not even realistic (7 panels $8000 for MOUNTING THEM ONLY?) THEY HAVE NO OPTIONS FOR MOUNTING PANELS OTHER THAN FLAT ON SURFACE BASICALY. Dont forget KUBY still will charge you more labor ontop of that so the total is so crazy. For them not to have considerable options for mounting shows they don’t really care at all.

I gave them chance to redeem themselves and they failed, they made me search around and I found few other companies out there I can trust. My experience is on here now for a lifetime, a warning to some of you who actually care about things like this, others are clueless on this stuff anyway! Hope it helps, Im still not happy and I have every reason not to be right? I’ll let you decide what you want to do guys when it comes to getting your Home or Business a Solar Powered System. Let me tell you it’s jacked up how KUBY didn’t really help out or want to help out this situation much. If they would have offered me refund or to change mounting I wouldn't be so ticked off about this system setup, but they didnt. Its not right, caution you guys that have flat roofs out there not to do a solar sytem with KUBY, youll be cleaning them off all the time...kiss that investment goodbye!

(KUBY this should apply to all your customers going forward) “I WANT MY PANELS TO SELF CLEAN PROPERLY I want them to HAVE THE MOST EXPOSURE to the SUN”

My experience with Kuby for installing solar panels was excellent. I spent several months evaluating solar installers, discussing options for mounting to our low slope membrane roof and had to work through an electrical panel upgrade too.

I signed my contract for a 8.1kW system at the end of the 2022 installation season and knew I would be waiting until spring 2023. I was surprised when Kuby said that rough-in electrical work would begin in January, but this headstart streamlined the installation six weeks later.

There was a forecast of snow on the proposed install date and the team showed up a day earlier to install mounting clips while it was sunny and dry on the roof. This adaptability resulted in the panels being installed successfully the following day.

I found Kuby to be patient when I was researching and evaluating options and helpful for any questions I had. They were also quick to take advantage of any window of good weather to get our system installed as early as possible.

All employees I have interacted with over email, phone and in person have been professional and treated myself and the property with respect. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kuby to others and share the positive experience I had.

This is my second time writing a review for Kuby. My first review detailed some issues that had arisen during the grant application and installation phase. To Kuby's credit, they reached out and resolved my concerns about those issues to my satisfaction.

However, at the time of that review (approximately December 2023), my panels had been up and running for about three months. I expressed concerns that my solar array was significantly underperforming compared to the estimates that were included in the project proposal. I was told to wait one full year and assess a full year's production against the project estimates.

I have now passed my anniversary date and I have a year's worth of data. Sadly, in its first year, my solar array has only generated 67.2% of what was estimated in the project proposal. I've asked for an explanation as to what could possibly be causing this shortfall, since other solar-owners seem to have had above-average production years. It's been over three weeks and I have yet to receive a satisfactory reply. Anyone considering Kuby for solar should be aware that their project estimates are not binding and may be significantly overstated.

I don't want to leave a negative review. Everyone that I've actually spoken to at the company seems nice and professional. Lots of my friends seem to have had good experiences with them. However, at the end of the day we are receiving only about 2/3rds of what we paid for and have not received an explanation for why that's the case. It just sucks to be in this situation.
