Original post: My 28 panels worked great for the first 8 years... and then they began to work intermittently due to an Isolation Error. Now they work less than 40% the time. The installer has reached out to Silfab for warrantee instructions, via email and voicemail, and there has been no response in the last 2 weeks. I'd highly recommend you obtain panels from a company willing to stand behind their product - Silfab doesn't seem to be that brand.

Update 11/18/24: Silfab finally reached out to me and the panel installer. The installer conducted testing on each panel and determined that when wet there is a voltage ‘leak’. See videos for examples. He has determined it is most likely a manufacturing defect that has slowly gotten worse over time. It only shows when panels are moist, a light rain or even morning dew will create an isolation error that lasts until late morning and the panels have had time to dry off.

Silfab has been exceptionally unhelpful. The installer conducted testing per their requirements, which seems to intentionally bypass testing considering moisture. They were quick to dismiss the claim, though the installer has repeatedly asked for what additional testing they’d like in order to demonstrate the issue with moisture.

My suggestion remains the same, find another manufacturer. What good is a warranty if a company refuses to stand behind it?

This company has zero respect for people. They are trying to put one of their plants in SC that contains 10,000 gallons of Hydrogen Fluoride and 23,000 gallons of Silane right next to 2 new schools. Hydrogen Fluoride is highly toxic and may cause all sorts of health problems. Silane ignites or explodes when it comes in contact with the air. There is a 1 mile evacuation zone around the factory in case of an accident that has about 10,000 people living in.
The area where Silfab is trying to put their plant in is designated as light industrial but they somehow managed to get controversial vote from the York County officials (4-3) to move forward after cheating on their application that they are "light industrial". Currently Fort Mill residents are fighting to move Silfab out of its current location to the more appropriate one that is designated for the heavy industrial use and has less people around.
Or get them out of business at all.

They must pay for their reviews or their employees are giving. This company is the manufacturer of my solar panels and they have not been doing their job since July last year I have been calling them since November but can't get anyone on the phone so I'm paying the full price for the panels and my electric bill. Do not use their panels you will get screwed

Been escalated since December no phone call back no email back it's pure junk service won't hold up there end on warranty it's just another scam junk shop like some of the others out there make promises that are not true get voice mail then full voice mail I used all extentions just to get a live person and none exist from tech support to hr to sales to shipping even accounting all mailboxes full sick and tired of calling emailing and having told we will escalate this then oh please hold we will contact you and dec to June is 7 months of pure junk time to run this company and show there scam efforts to AG THE ATTORNEY GENERAL will fix them scaming people

Have had high density Silfab panels for 4 years now. Excellent energy production, and no noticeable drop off over that time. Yes I'd buy again, the results speak for themselves.
