Abdallh is extremely diligent and hard working. He never stopped for lunch and worked from 8:30a until after 4p every day. He finished a large project that I had been planning for months in 3 days. He made some of the cleanest cuts in drywall I've ever seen and never made a cut without running a vacuum at the same time. He checked in throughout each day, updated me on status at the end of each day, and did a stand out job.

I looked at a lot of other companies in the DC area and finding someone to execute the project to spec was much more difficult than I thought it would be. I'm so glad to have found RumAV Solutions. Abdallh's an expert in his field, made great recommendations to improve my plans, patiently dealt with my scope creep, and went above and beyond my expectations. His pricing was very reasonable. I couldn't be happier!

I had someone else work in the house before Abdallh, who also had to cut drywall. They likely cut 4x more than necessary. Abdallh spends the extra time to minimize cuts and the difference in how he treated my home (compared to how poorly the other person did) was eye opening. I would have Abdallh back to do more work anytime. Truly A+ service and quality work. (And be sure to ask for his recommended painter.)

2023 Update:
I used Rum AV again, and they were the only team I considered given how great they did in 2021. If you need home A/V or networking work done, look no further. If you have to wait a bit, Rum AV is worth the wait. There's a reason they are booked for so many projects. They have maintained their 5-star review. If I could leave more stars I would.

Abdallh and his team completed a complex installation of a Refletel Mirror TV on a motorized Future Automation PSE90 articulating mount over a mantle. As always, their attention to detail was maticulous and their work is impecable. I am thrilled with the outcome. Abdallh is knowledgeable and patient, and he took the time to understand and plan how to achieve perfection with my project - which he did!

As a side job during the same visit I needed 10 additional Ethernet patch cables run and he completed that work in less than 30 minutes, without making a mess of the walls.

My need was for a small installation of a home theater area that included an ATMOS speaker setup. The area was somewhat unusual in that ductwork was situated so that speaker placement may not have been feasible.

Abdulla came out for the initial review of the space and heard my needs and some of my thoughts about how things could be done. He was very patient and had great ideas that I had not really thought through, including speaker placement, and types of speakers that may work best for my space. There was no pressure whatsoever in terms of what speakers to get, but he did provide some very good options for Atmos which were fully adjustable so that sound would not bounce off the soffit but hit the correct seating position. I had asked about the Rear Surrounds as well and said my choice was good given the price; again no pressure to change, but I suspect he would have made good recommendations if they were not up to par.

Install day: him and his team arrived and went though what they were going to accomplish. After the initial eval. and some thought about my space he said my initial plan would work, but had a better idea as it would mean less holes to route the speaker wires. In addition to running and mounting the speakers, I inquired about mounting the TV, as I was going to do this myself. He added this to the work order at a very reasonable price.

All in all the Team at RUM AV, added 4 Atmos speakers, 2 rear surrounds, ran the wires, hooked them up to my new receiver, ran the sound test software to get the sound just right, mounted the television, hid TV wires using a previously purchased box, and lastly ran 2 Ethernet lines.

They did a great job and could not recommend them enough, I just wish i could have been there for the final walk through but something came up last minute. I am sure they were excited to show off their work and I was bummed that I could not hear the final run through of what they completed and some of what they did to get the sound setup just right.

They were able to diagnose and fix a number of networking related issues in our home. Most were either uninterested due to the work required or wanted an extreme amount of $$$ for the work AND stipulated all products (TV, etc.) must be purchased through them (so they could get a nice mark up). I would highly recommend anyone planning on getting a home theater setup done in Northern Virginia area to get it done through RUM AV solutions. These guys were great. I needed someone to run ethernet and AV cabling but planned to handle the rest of the work myself. They were happy to do exactly what I asked and didn't try to upsell me on anything. They were very careful in their work, managed some really long runs with minimal drywall cutting, took their time to make sure they were doing exactly what I wanted, and advised on a couple items where my plans weren't going to get me the best results. I'd highly recommend them to anyone needing low voltage cabling run and while I can't speak directly to their other services, I'd be confident they would do just as good a job on anything they'd take on.
