Switched to an electric heat pump so Rosebush took our tank away. Kept the $1000 worth of propane we paid for which was explained to me (what can I do?) but what isn’t appropriate is the two emails I’ve sent to accounting requesting a cheque for the $300 credit I have on my account, and getting radio silence.

Really struggling with the customer service here.

Denise is a chore to work with.

We're on 'automatic delivery' until it's time to deliver propane it seems. There's a credit on the account and they just never delivered propane. My wife and kids froze last night. They threatened to charge me an emergency fee for delivery.

I became irate for obvious reasons and they decided to not charge the emergency service fee but I noticed a spike in cost per litre...

My first bill from them was for .86 per litre and just paid .93 per litre one invoice later.

Edit: Rosebush himself called me this morning saying my bad review and others here are unfair. He said it does not show the whole picture. I've attached my statement.

He goes on to threaten me saying that if I don't ammend my bad review of his company he's going to leave a bad review on mine...

We've switched to P38 and have asked Rosebush to pick up their tanks.

Still no apologies for letting our kids freeze....

Just had a super experience with bob from rosebush. Ive been out of propane for last 4 days? Macewen kept repeating “you have a woodstove” which made me a low priority? Nevermind i have a bad back and cannot lift wood without pain? Very disappointed so i made a call to rosebush and they came right away! Installed tanks same day! V happy!

Awful customer service, terribly rude delivery men. Won't walk through snow to fill tanks, require you to clear a path. Drivers will hang up on you, refuse you service, and leave you with nearly no propane before a weekend. Do not hire these people.

Worst people to deal with, I’ve been emailing and talking to them since March/April telling them I don’t need their services and they can come pick up their tank and they still keep calling about tank rental fees and wanting to charge to pick up their tank

Edit: blatant lies by the owner, I have proof of email communications between myself and Rachel and me confirming that tank can be picked-up. Clearly not a no reply email address

First thing to point out is all their positive reviews are older....
This company is brutal to deal with.
I inherited these tank rentals when I purchased my home. They seemed ok at the beginning.
When I needed propane I called and they responded quickly. I have a combination of propane electric and wood heating.
Having 3 options for heat I guess I did burn enough fossil fuels and pollute enough for them. I get a bill that literally doubled my tank rental fee. From approximately 65 dollars per year per tank to 199 per year per tank. I phoned the office to get answered by unhelpful staff with options 1) downsize to a smaller tank that won't have the capacity run my wall furnace for a season (if it gets cold enough)
2) get rid of one tank and still pay double the rental fee
3) purchase my tanks for the low cost of 2200 per tank
4) my personal favorite add more propane appliances (expensive and pollute more)
Needless to say I was frustrated and asked to speak with a supervisor. I'll point out that it took him over a week to get back to me.
While I was waiting I thought would call their competitors. To find out they don't have any minimum usage requirements and the tank was a standard rental of 65 per year. I found it funny when their office staff told me "the phones have been ringing off the hook this week with Rosebush tank change overs. I was the fifth person that day"
It goes without saying I have selected option 5 send Rosebush energy to the curb and go with their competition.
If you have read to your here your committed and thank you.
It's a week and bit later and this supervisor phones me back tells me it's company policy and there is nothing he can do. I asked about canceling and breaking the contract and his response was "I don't have any idea about that, the girls in the office will be in touch"
So another week passes and I get an invoice reversing the charges. I thought to myself well they did do right customer in the end....
But the straw that broke the camel's back. This fee will stand. Even though its amount isnt specified in their rental agreement.
This story continues on Oct 3 Rosebush calls me looking to collect this outrageous fee. The lady reminded me again that the above options where told to me. So in final attempt to work with this out with them. I expressed my interest in purchasing a 100 lb tank from them and maybe even maintain a business relationship with them. Even if I purchased a new tank from them they will not waive this tank pickup fee (125 per tank) from my old tanks.
BUYER BEWARE. THEY WILL DROP THEIR TANKS OFF FOR FREE BUT YOU WILL PAY LAYER......
DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

Other competitors keep their low renting prices. We won't pay more cause they need more money. Absurd. W change a provider. Same customer experience like the last one.

I have been a consumer of Rosebush Fuels for multiple years. In December of last year I kept smelling propane outside of my house and multiple people at my house said they could smell it as well. I called and asked them to come check it out and they said they sent someone out but never heard back…I called back because I could still smell propane and they said there were no leaks. When I checked my automatic payments for the year I found that it was double the amount from last year and I was in fact using electric heat not my propane. So it should’ve been much much less.l requested a technician from Rosebush (Josh ) to come out and he found the leak, shut off the tanks and reported it. When I spoke with the manager Derek he would only offer me $150 back and it was $1700 for the year which again I was not using propane heat, so it was clearly leaking for sometime. I spoke with Derek and asked him to cancel his service and I was no longer going to be their customer and he suggested I keep the tanks until the propane was used and I agreed. I found out today that they went to my house and filled the tanks up and charged me directly yet again! Please please find someone else to provide you with propane… they do not care!
