Rodney was a life saver for us! We had a quote from another electrician and ended up reaching out to Rosco for a second opinion. I found out I was being significantly overcharged by not only the electrician I had originally hired but the general contractor too. In the end, Rosco was about 50% cheaper than the electrician out of Woodstock who provided a quote AND Rodney saved me even more money by connecting me with a general contractor he trusted. Great small town company!

Rodney came in to quote within hours of me emailing. His crew were in and out in no time and addressed all our needs at an affordable price point. No fluff, no upselling, right to the point.
We will be using them again - without a doubt.

AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS!

We hired him to install an outlet for our range, which for most electricians would be an easy thing to do. Aside from not having the proper tools with him and having to borrow mine (which I had to keep watch of, because they kept being "put down" in his tool box) the work ended up being against code.

He ran the wire up from the basement, then outside of the horizontal brace in my wall, then back into the wall to continue up to where the outlet was to be located. When I asked him about it, he told me it was fine and to just mud over it with drywall compound and paint it.

We contacted Roscoe Electric and said this wasn't done to code and we wouldn't be paying our bill until the job was completed properly and he said if we didn't pay the bill he would put a lien on our house. Roscoe Electric sent over an inspector who said it was NOT to code and gave us instructions to bring it up to code.

We didn't feel safe having him in our home again so another contractor fixed the work and the inspector gave it the ok. At this point Roscoe Electric phoned us again and said that he received paperwork saying it was up to code (from the inspector) and that he demanded we pay within 7 days or he would put a lien on the house.

Since we were planning on selling within a year and knowing it would cost more to fight it than pay it, we reluctantly paid the bill. The greasy putz even gave us a smile and wave as we paid knowing he tricked another customer out of their hard earned money.

Please learn from our mistake and avoid this business at all costs. Even if you have to pay more, it will probably be worth it in the long run since the job will be done right the first time.

Very fast response. Rodney answered during the holidays. The next day, his crew was on the job site. Done. Very clean work, no fixing walls after the electrician, perfect I can move on.
Thank you!

Do not call or use this business !.

Don't call for quote nor allow this company into your home or business!.

I contracted this local contractor which I try to support a local business.
This was in 2016 and on my printed quote no where was it stated that ALUMINUM WIRING would be used. If so I wouldn't have hired them.

In this current day and age "COPPER WIRING" is the approved expected product to use. If ALUMINUM wasn't a good safe product it wouldn't have been removed as a good product without problems and removed from being in residential homes such as ALUMINUM WIRING has been proven in the past.

It wasn't until I required service on the item in late 2018 that was wired by Rosco electric, that I was informed by the service tech that ALUMINUM WIRING was used when it clearly stated that the connection of wiring is to be " Copper Conductors Only".

Even though a supposedly licenced electrician did the connection and "IGNORED THE MANUFACTURERS REQUIREMENTS".

So not wiring as per specs the employee should have stopped the connections and removed the improper incorrect product.

So this shows me the paying customer the employees don't know or follow the electrical code.

Also after having to inform and unknowingly mislead my insurance company. My rates have risen due to my home no longer containing only COPPER WIRING.
I have had to disclose that I have COPPER and ALUMINUM WIRING now within my home.

This will also have to be disclosed to a realtor and potential future buyer making a case for a lower asking price.

The business owner/estimator didn't wish to figure out a proper outdoor location for a power disconnect switch. The switch is used for service to be performed while the home owner isn't home and the service tech can control the power flow.

The owner/estimator had the disconnect switch installed in my basement under my electrical panel, making a homeowner stay home for access to either the main panel or the disconnect switch for safe proper service to be performed on item wired.

Avoid the headaches and the feeling of being ripped off and decevied.

Call an out of town electrician for any of your electrical needs in Ingersoll.

After contacting the local electrical authority ,all the inspector did was to force or recommend to Roscoe electric that the installation is incorrect.
In my opinion the inspector was on the side of the contractor and not for removing an inappropriate product making the complete situation correct.

The inspector allowed the contractor to leave the original electrical disconnect switch underneath my electrical panel and the originally installed ALUMINUM WIRING in my basement.

The ALUMINUM WIRING was left in the basement. From the basement disconnect switch to a new disconnect switch mounted to the outside of my house.
To improve upon the disreguard for codes. The contractor has now proceeded to run COPPER WIRING from the new disconnect switch to my electrical item.
This is only 1/2 a fix to a problem that should haven't taken place.

I still have extra expenses and obligations due to insurance cost of an outdated product.
The outdated product which may have been laying around the contractors shop, which then they didn't have to purchase the proper COPPER WIRING making their profit margins higher thinking the homeowner would never find out.

If there was a ZERO rating that's what this company would receive.
