October 8th/2023 RKS Electric were called to check our Generac for a possible engine issue.
A Service Person attended, didn’t appear to know anything about this unit.
He changed oil, spark plug and filters, which had been done a few months prior, advised Service Person of that, he replied it was a process of elimination, he proceeded to overfill the engine with fresh oil and was about to add more till I told him I had checked the dipstick and it had too much oil in already and ended up draining some of the excess oil.
I asked about any diagnostic results, he advised to listen next time it runs during a power outage to hear if it runs smoothly.
I asked if he could reset the service reminder, he tried but could not, I told him to leave it to save on labour cost but instead he called the shop looking for directions,
I then received an invoice for roughly $500,
including 2 hour labour charge, I have serviced the unit myself for 9 yrs, each service takes less then 30min and buy the Genuine Generac Service Kit for just over $38 online.
I contacted RKS Electric and questioned the invoice.
After a period of time I received an email advising that they had mistakenly double charged my account and sent another invoice without detailing cost even though I had requested an itemized bill, outlining labour and all parts, total of this invoice was around $300. I finally received an itemized invoice in late February 2024.

Today I called RKS because a breaker in my panel blew and I needed an electrician to take it apart to replace it. They let me know their electricians are booked with jobs everyday for the next 2-3weeks. When I let them know the breaker was for the water pump to my well and I had no water coming into my house at all, I can’t even flush a toilet, they said give me a minute and I’ll call you back. An electrician came at the end of the day because it was an emergency and they had my water restored an hour and a half after I called them. This was an excellent experience and I truly appreciate what they did. They cared and they helped me avoid what could have been a grueling wait. Thank you RKS, I will recommend and call you whenever I have business.

Promptly arranged a time to come after my initial call to the office. Worked around my schedule. Their guys did great work and in a very timely manner. Having been a realtor for 10 yrs, its difficult in my area to get good reliable tradespeople to come out quickly. They not only came quickly, they did good work. I was really impressed overall. Very professional and courteous too! Will definitely recommend and use again!

Called to have my exhaust fan serviced. They offered to come same day but based on my schedule they came the next day. They were on time and fixed the issue. Highly recommend. Only issue was that they were hard to contact. I didn't get any answer on the main phone number so I called the emergency line.

Totally satisfied with the customer service (Blair, Nathan and Nolan) as well as the work completed. Timely response to my call and good explanation of the issues and solution. Nathan and Nolan worked diligently and left the work area tidy. Very professional and I would highly recommend RKS Electric for any electrical work required.

I started a reno of my home April 2020...enter RKS. Contractors like to use their local trades, that's how I received the professional services from Brennan, Collin (aka The Deer Hunter) & Blair. Impeccable with their knowledge of electricity, service always with a smile, and a call always given on when to expect them to show. I learned so much more then I expected from this outing!
Questions always answered ...even on the meaning of life! Let's just say this reno had a great sense of humor involved that took the edge off me living in stressful circumstances during a pandemic!
Being the only female on sight was purrr joy! Conversations over men with expensive very bad cologne, baseball, football...you bet!
The vision I had for my home came to life with the skillful hands (and forever youth) of Brennan. Lol!
A slight adjustment was needed in a hurry...who do ya call Blair!! The dude, the man at the top!
Always a great conversation on the phone when I called and action immediately taken!! The man had my back through the whole 10 month process! I thank you sir!!
Need an electrician? Look no more....this company rocks!!! Call RKS!
