Our suite in a large (190 unit) building was badly flooded in January, 2023, then again in mid-February, requiring all new drywall, painting, flooring and cabinetry.
We understand that the building had a rash of floods (probably in 60+ suites) from January 1 to March 31, creating a very complex challenge for Rainbow in being the designated first responders, working with about 4 levels of insurers, sorting through the individual issues of suite owner/occupant requirements, documenting damage for the insurance and legal claims, organizing a massive restoration program, coordinating with many different trades and suppliers, then prioritizing and managing all the restoration work.
Given this, my 80-year-old wife and I were so pleased and grateful for the excellent work in each phase that Rainbow did. The initial response was really fast, and the Rainbow team were quick in deploying their recovery program. The team's care and compassionate attention to our plight was remarkable. Once they got approval to start the restoration work, Rainbow's responsive, cooperative and pleasant planning and coordination efforts with everyone involved moved the work ahead promptly.
Our suite's total restoration was completed by the agreed time, the work was of a professional, high quality, and the suite was turned back to us clean and tidy.

In early June we had water enter our home from through a wall where the deck was mounted on our walkout. Andre and team came to assess the situation and were prompt in using imaging tech to determine the extent of the problem. Insulation, drywall, trim were quickly removed and drying equipment was installed. Andre carried out a search for water sources and was able to provide ideas for contractors to follow. The basement floor furniture was covered, and preservation of undamaged areas were protected. In August, once major home repairs were done, Gustavo and Alex arrived to do the restoration. Their work was nothing short of excellent. The wall was rebuilt with insulation, vapor barrier, drywall, expertly mudded and painted in just two days. The ceiling was also repainted and looks great. All in all, one will find the staff at Restoration 1 Calgary excellent in skills, great attitudes and effort. My wife and I wish to thank Restoration 1 staff for their work. We would recommend contacting them should you have a water crisis or something similar happen to your home. They were invaluable at both ends of a major problem we had and we truly appreciate their work.

Communication is excellent and prompt. I was out of the country and the crew kept me updated throughout the process. Even after the work was done they were quick to respond to any questions and touch-ups (there werent many). Most of all, they worked with my insurance provider smoothly, to a point where i had limited involvement. Thank you for everything. Highly recommended.
