We recently upgraded our off-grid battery bank from Surrette lead-acid batteries, to Volthium lithium-ion batteries. Rick at Quantum has been a key part of our continuous quality improvement of our off-grid power system, the batteries were no different. As the batteries were declining I was in regular communication with Rick about the price differential. Recently the price/performance of lithium-ion was finally at a par or a bit better than the lead acid, and we had Rick install the new batteries. The crew was extremely efficient and knowledgeable with resetting our solar charge controllers. We also have a wind turbine and since lithium-ion batteries should not be overcharged, they were able to adjust the wind charge controller to ensure this didn’t happen. The new batteries are performing well beyond our expectations and like all our experiences with Quantum Energy, we are extremely grateful to have such a knowledgeable partner in all our upgrades. We can’t recommend Rick and his outstanding team enough.

Quantum has been excellent; I have solar pool heaters and PV solar panels from them. Cost, quotes, installation and after care (including proactively identifying and managing a hardware issue with replacement and reinstallation without me needing to even notify them) has been absolutely great. Amazing communication. They're a great and professional team. Highly recommended.

When we moved off-grid 26 years ago we had to do everything ourselves. We’ve seen countless dealers come and go, but Rick Rooney at Quantum Renewable Energy has been around for
more than 20 years because he does great work. Rick has now been involved with numerous upgrades of our system. In our most recent project Rick’s crew removed the old panels from our solar tracker, installed new more efficient ones, and reprogrammed our charge controllers to ensure optimal performance. Oh, and they cleaned up the work area before they left. We could save a few dollars ordering equipment online and doing it ourselves, but we want to ensure that we maximize every potential available kilowatt, and I have complete confidence that Rick will recommend the best option and install it properly and efficiently. I have recommended Rick to numerous other people and everyone has been extremely happy with him.

In early October 2024 we asked Quantum Renewable to estimate the solar voltaic system we would need to cover the energy we currently use. We had Quantum install a solar water heater on our roof in 2010. It has provided us with hot water for more than six months per year with no problems. On very short notice they removed it for a roofing job and reinstalled it promptly. For the photovoltaics, Quantum dealt with all of the paperwork required for permits from the City and Hydro One. Our system was completed, with all inspections, and running at the end of October! Already we are covering most of our energy usage, even in the less sunny days of fall. This time last year we used an average of 44 kWh per day. Since operating, our solar panels have generated about 32 kWh daily over the past five days (Oct 30 - Nov 3). We are so excited to be contributing to the greening of our community. We highly recommend Quantum Renewable Energy to do this important work for you!

Our decision to install solar panels and solar pool heater could not have worked out better. Coordinating with our new addition build was logistically tricky with multiple trades involved. However with good communication between Rick ,Sarah and our builder,the instalation happened smoothly. Hats off to the install team for slugging it out the post hole digging during an early heat wave. I was afraid they would pass out. Well done guys. Very happy to generating our own power.

Excellent service and support. Made the process and technology very easy to understand in order to assess the benefits to make an informed decision. Walked through all the paperwork, answered all questions and addressed any after market matters quickly. The decision to go green on our cottage was not a simple decision especially since it did not qualify for any rebates or incentives. Not regrets. Highly recommend.

Rick was amazing to deal with. He quickly responded to all of my questions, which there were many, and he was extremely helpful when I needed clarification. Our system was installed in a timely fashion and his crew left our space exactly as it was found. Our system is working better than expected! Highly recommend.
