These guys are awesome. I had concerns of mould growth in my home because I kept smelling a musty scent in the bedroom, so I called Prairie Environmental (Winnipeg) and requested an air quality test. For starters, Jeff gave me a straight up estimate, no run arounds, if's, or maybe's. He then sent a technician, David, to our place within 2 days. David was very knowledgeable and professional, and not only did the test, but also provided a ton of useful tips.

In 5 business days I got a very detailed report from them, which included how the test was conducted, and the various spores that were tested for or detected. Not to mention, Jeff was available each time I called or texted, which is rare these days. All this for a competitive price (based on a few companies I called). Incredible service. This is what you can only hope to expect from any company these days, not just for this service.

In conclusion, I highly recommend Prairie Environmental if you need an air quality test for your home.

While you may be poisoned by mycotoxins in your home or building, an air quality test will have 'limitations' that will provide you with a false result.

We received a negative result with a test taken right in front of a wall harboring toxic black chaetomium spores.

We were gaslit and told we should be happy with the results, as it means our daughters health wasn't deteriorating from mold, but something else, to have our ducts cleaned and to not bother looking in the walls.

Should we have accepted this dangerous advice we would have continued to put our family's health at risk, breathing in toxic mold in our bedroom.

During the inspection, there was no checking of humidity which was 68%. The technician also failed to notice cracks in our stucco, coinciding to the origin point of the water in our home. It was also noted to us that they only ran their test for 3 minutes inside the home, where there is a recommendation of 8-15 mins.

The website states that their service is able to visually indentify the location and extent of mold in the suspected area.

We hired second company to locate our problem immediately. Save your money, and find a company with a more current perspective on your environmental concerns.

Prairie environmental was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what areas to test. They also were good at explaining what they were doing and answering any questions. I received an email containing detailed results of the asbestos tests and Jeff had no problem answering any follow-up questions after the initial visit. Would highly recommend this organization!

I have worked with Jeff and his team at Prairie twice now and will continue use them for their professionalism, quick response, accurate information and help with understanding asbestos containing materials and the process on the testing procedures including for the abatement type work.
