Oosterhof Electrical is an excellent company. They return calls very quickly, are prompt, courteous, and thorough! We are very happy with the coordination and work Len, Jared, and Danielle did to change our meter, electrical panel, misc wiring, grounding, contacting Hydro One, and everything else required to get our place up and running after a tree knocked everything out.

My parents Dennis and Kathy Amey asked me to post a review on their behalf. During the ice storm that we experienced overnight on Saturday March 29, 2025, they had a large limb come down taking out the power lines to their house. The lines were ripped right off the electrical mast attached to the house. I called the fire department because there were live lines down in their backyard and they came over and secured the area and called Hydro to let them know there were live lines on the ground and that there were elderly people without power or heat. My father has been quite ill and has difficulty staying warm. The Hydro crew came around but was unable to fix the problem and told them they would have to hire an electrician to address the problem and when my parents asked for a recommendation one of the names mentioned was Oosterhof Electrical Services. They called Oosterhof and he came out on the Sunday to look at the damage and give them an estimate. The damage was quite extensive and they were told it could take a couple of days to repair as water had penetrated the main power cutoff switch box which meant that it would need to be replaced. He suggested that they go stay in a hotel until it was fixed, and told them that they would be back the next morning to start the repairs. He had given them an estimate based on reusing the existing mast on the house, but the Hydro workers advised that it would need to be replaced. Len Oosterhof assured my parents that this would not change the amount of the original estimate. Despite the fact that Mr. Oosterhof had told them the job would take a couple of days, they had the power restored by 9 pm Monday night. My parents couldn't have been more pleased. Len Oosterhof even stopped by a couple of days later to make sure everything was okay. When they received the invoice for the work it was actually significantly less than the amount of the original estimate even including the installation of the new mast that hadn't been included in the original scope of work. Just an outstanding level of service from Len Oosterhof and his crew! We would highly recommend this company for any electrical services, and we will certainly call upon them for any electrical needs we may have in the future.

I can't say enough great things about these guys. When a pipe burst in our home in June 2023, our house was completely destroyed and had to go right back to the studs. Len was there every step of the way to make a plan for the electrical to get sorted out and he went above and beyond to put me in contact with someone who could help us when dealing with the insurance company wasn't going well. Once things got moving, Michael and Zaher were there to set everything up (including my beautiful cabinet lighting! Eeee!). I so appreciate all of the recommendations and long explanations about electrical (because I have zero clue), especially while my husband was deployed throughout all of this. The knowledge and quality of work is second to none and you all are just a great bunch of humans. Oosterhof will always be my first choice for anything electrical. Thanks guys!

Hired them to swap a fuse panel for breakers, upgrade the service, and lots of little things in our first home from the 60's. They were prompt with responses, clear with scheduling, clean work (actually cleaned up after everyday), friendly and knowledgeable electricians (and apprentices) and the work is tip top. We hired Oosterhof to install a Kohler backup generator in a rural setting an hour outside of Kingston. We highly recommend working with Oosterhof and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again for other electrician needs. They were able to provide a timely schedule for conducting a site visit, the installation of the unit, including integration of the system with an existing solar panel system. Oosterhof also managed the subcontracted gas fitting services to help make this experience simple and straightforward. Project management provided by Adam Brook was fantastic - he was very responsive to email and phone communications and had a professional and kind demeanor.

My new wood working shop needed power which involved connection to home circuit via an underground channel.The talented respectful crew arrived early in the morning and worked through til early evening.I was kept up to date every step of the trip and I now have a safe efficient place to work in my retirement from being a paramedic.This company is above reproach,with a work ethic to be admired.A job well done!!
