Nova is a first class business. Howard Bailey and his team have put solar at our cabin at Christina Lake and come back to check it multiple times. The system involves micro hydro as well but nothing is too complex or challenging for him and his team. They go above and beyond to provide the highest quality product at a very fair price. I trust them without reservation to keep us up and running safely, effectively and efficiently. You would be lucky to have them on your projects. He also most recently installed a composting toilet as well. Again another perfectly executed project.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Worst customer service and incapable of setting our solar system up to preform as intended. I purchased my system and had installed by Nova 2 years ago. It was supposed to be sized to run a house, a shop, and a barn, yet in the winter it can't support the load of a 380 sqft cabin we live in while building without the generator on at least an hour a day. We are nowhere near what the load will be. Everyone else I know with solar has a system about 1/3 the size and run full house holds without issue. (Generator on a couple hours a week). It's not a component issue as everything is top of the line. (Been told this by many people). 3 months into having our system, we had a lithium battery fire due to nova ignoring the daily over charge warnings which I know both they and I received and I spoke to them about. If someone wasn't home we would have lost everything. Then when they came out to repair the system and realized that all the controls were also fried, they just left my wife with no power even though we had a brand new generator that they we supposed to install. If it wasn't for my electrician we would have had no power for weeks in November when it was already negative temperatures out. The generator they sold us never works when it nears 30 below which is very normal.....I've spent 5 hours at 1am at 40 below out in the cold to try to get it to start because we had now power due to somehow running our 40 kw battery bank out with an all gas heated 380 sqft cabin. This last winter we had an inverter explode due to incorrect generator charging and if it wasn't for the help of people I know that walked me through steps to just run on generator, we would have had no power for a week again while 25 below out. When our system was installed, I was told they have a 24hr emergency support number, we'll that's a lie. If it's outside normal business hours don't expect any help......for that matter don't expect any help during business hours as they won't answer phone calls are emails unless they can't see who's calling (like blocking your ID). Then you will get ahold of reception, and they will tell you they will call back, which never really happens. Case in point we have left messages repeatedly since early July to be walked through the steps to get the systems wifi back online and still haven't heard back. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS POSSIBLE.

Highly recommend this company.

My name is Evan Duncan and I provided Howard with a down payment on a system for my home on April 6/23 and another deposit on May 10/23 and prepared the site for the racking by the beginning of june/23. After numerous delays and excuses and delays and requests for another down deposit that was for the total price which always seems to be increasing I made arrangements to be here for the installation on July 25 to July 27 Which never happened. I had already provided a deposit of 25% of the ORIGINAL price and it was starting to stink as a scam. When I contacted him via text I got a lot of excuses and a promise of a refund in 24 hours Which never showed up after 3 days of no contact from him I am wasting my time writing a reveiw and dealing with lawyers and the expence that comes along with that as well as the expence of preparing the site as requested as well as my time and research on picking a solar system. Now I have even more expences and still have to pay someone else for a system that I have already partially paid for. Don't waste your time and money with Nova as it does not appear to be a legitimate company and no one needs the hassel of being scammed, even though he assured me that he is not a scammer. With this kind of service, if I had a problem with the system down the road I am pretty sure I would be on my own as far as getting it fixed. Save yourself the headache and money and shop elsewhere. Howard only got a star because I can't post a warning to other without clicking on at least one star. He deserves 10 empty stars for the headache he has caused.

howard has been after me to update my review in light that I finally did get my money refunded. I was going to do this a month ago till I read his reply about this being because of a miscommunication. I would not deal with someone that wants me to pay for everything upfront and hope they follow though on their end. I had to wait for my money considerably longer than was promised. Now Im a year behind on the project and have to start all over. Not worth it to start a project like this in the winter where the power realized is minimal and lots of maintenance removing snow and it would be tough digging in frozen ground. Very disappointed in my experience
