Even though this place sits on acres of unused land they fenced in a tiny parking area, it’s like a 12 year old planned the site out. Parking lot is dangerous with vehicles backing into pedestrian area and recycling bins are often full.
Please bring back the satellite depots for at least paper/cardboard and container recycling!

*update as of 2022 July - Still full bins not being emptied. I actually came and left with a full bin of containers for recycling because all three bins were completely full, I should have just dumped my recycling onto the ground.

Terrible! Congestion is horrible during peak hours, and it becomes very dangerous because of the layout of the parking lot. Being located in the cariboo you would think they would take consideration for the public and make sure to pave the area for all the muddy winter/spring weather, but they don’t. I DO NOT RECOMMEND that anyone with a smaller vehicle or car go here, otherwise you risk taking out your oil pan with how bad the potholes are..... Also there is not enough room for bigger trucks to park or back out when it is busy, and no matter what vehicle you drive you risk hitting someone when backing up since you back up towards the bins. This location goes by the landfill hours and are closed on Monday's which sucks, and now that there are currently NO bins placed in different locations around town the hours make it incredibly inconvenient for people. The area is fenced and gets locked up when they close, so if you’re not their in time you can’t recycle. I personally miss being able to drop off my recyclables on my way to work or the store. Now they’re leaving it up to the consumer to go OUT OF THEIR WAY to recycle. I hate this location and it has put me off of recycling all together most of the time. As a renter who doesn’t live within city limits for pick up and does not want to pay a private party for recycle pick up this is incredibly frustrating since I want to be able to have better ease of access to better contribute to recycling.
