These guys are great!

I’ve been to a lot of metal recycling places and I’m often treated like a nuisance for being there.

Today was my first time at NorthStar and I was immediately helped by multiple people that were all friendly. I was out and on my way in a couple of minutes. Best rates I’ve gotten in ages and the fastest process I’ve had at any recycling place. It’s a bit out of the way for me but I will only be coming here from now on.

Low ball hard on what you have. Guaranteed you'll get at least 1/3 more anywhere else. Inaccurate scales or just sleazy, I'm not sure but worth it to go elsewhere. Never again.

Great business in East Van. First time customer, never been to a scrap metal yard in my life. I had some copper pipes from a reno. Got a fair price for my copper. Highly recommended.

Brought in (weighed at home) 8lbs of copper was paid out for 4lbs, no receipt, no proof of scale.
Didn’t wanna make a fuss over 20$ but clearly got scammed. Being shady over 20$ is wild imo. Geuss it was worth the bad review.

WORST scrap yard hands down. The shady dude that runs the scale doesn't even put the read out of weight on the screen or give you printed receipts a lot of the time. We caught them stealing from us when they hadn't included some wire we had returned in our cash out. Buddy didn't apologize but actually acted like it was ridiculous that we mentioned it as it wasn't a large amount. Plus they told us one price for b/s copper wire on phone then paid us .40 less when we got there. Do not use this scrap yard they are super crocked and rude and in the scrap world that's saying something.
