Today, less than an hour ago, I had to call North Bay Hydro due to us hearing a loud bang and all of our power going out including people on our street. They were here within the hour even on a hot Saturday. I am so grateful to all workers out there who put their lives on the line everyday, police , fireman, but I think Hydro workers get the short end of the stick when it comes to this. I believe them to be one of the greatest heroes out of all of them. They quite literally put their lives on the line every single day, especially during dangerous weather, that could potentially keep them from going home to their families and loved ones. The guys that were here today were just wonderful, they got it done within minutes and they were so unbelievably kind to my son who has special needs and loves to ask questions. The one gentleman took the time to talk to him and explain the situation to him which made him feel so much better. I wish I knew their names, but if you happen to see this, I just want them to know how much I appreciate them and how grateful I am. To all of you Men and Women who do what you do every single day to make sure we have our electricity, that we're safe, especially during dangerous weather, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart 💜

This week we noticed our street light was out. We sent a message to the City of North Bay, and the hydro truck was there within a day or two and replaced the light. Always appreciate the quick service.

If the power goes out especially during bad weather, North Bay Hydro often gets the neighbourhood back up and running quickly.

Equal billing has also made our budget very easy to manage over the years.

They don't take walk in anymore you need to call the number customer service is bad they don't really care about answering questions they just rush you and hang up

I called with questions about my bill. They clarified my bill quickly, were professional and updated my information in just a couple quick minutes. It might be nice to have customer service opened til 5 p.m. but you take what you get!

Great experience having my hot water tank fixed. Called on Sunday, a tech was there 930am Monday morning. The office scheduled the repair around my work hours AND the tech went above and beyond to teach me about the system so I could look out for any simple problems in the future. Thanks Chad and team! Appreciate the great service and repair!

This hydro service was great in 2013. We had a late payment no big deal they knew we'd pay it soon. A lot has changed since than, even if you have just a small amount that is past due they over charge 30$ and they call you and threaten you that hydro will be cut off by this date. They don't negotiate a day when you have the cash. They want you in as early as possible, they don't care about your work schedule, your life. It's a very unethical company and I'm ashamed of them, because before I never had problems, even when I was on OW at that time they were great. Now I'm
still low income, and family of 5. We don't have any social assistance, and we work our butts off to stay up with our bills. We are a respectable family with good morals. We don't drink, do drugs. We go to work, we have daycare, we rent and pay bills. All I'm asking from North Bay Hydro is a little compassion and understanding.

My wife called over 2 weeks ago to see when hydro was coming to our street to install the new underground hydro lines on blair st and to this date she has gotten no response. That is just very poor customer service

If I was on my last breath I wouldn’t recommend hydro one
They wait till you paid for your service and disappear
Zero customer service zero accountability
Every week there staff is on “vacation”
They promise to call back, send emails and follow up but it it all lies
God forbid you get Stephanie as a service rep
Just another government supported/ funded criminal company
Shame we have to rely on them
