Extremely unprofessional service. I’ve been trying to reach NB Power for the last ten days and it’s impossible to get through. Each time I call, I wait on hold for over an hour only to have the call disconnected. No one ever answers, no call back, nothing. This is beyond frustrating—customers deserve better communication and support.

Should be an option for 0 stars. Service is disgusting, I had two gentlemen who I assumed worked for NB Power and asked me if I wanted to upgrade my old meter with smart meter. At this point I have already read up on them a know it is not a good choice, so I said no I do not want the upgrade. They accepted my request and went on with there day. Come to find out a few days later when I'm gone to work they proceed to change my meter with a Smart meter. MY POWER BILL last month was 540$ at that moment I seen that bill all of my baseboard heaters were shut off (only had 3 on) and unplugged everything when we go away for the weekends. HOW IS IT JUSTIFIED THAT MY MOST PREVIOUS BILL WAS 600$. Worst service I've had in years and with rising cost all over your just theives.

This company is a joke. Planned outage from 6:30AM to 4:30PM, which is already absurd for a Saturday and they start it early with 0 notice. I wish they didn't have nearly a complete monopoly and they had some competition so consumers could win for once

Between NB Power and Greenfoot I got shafted on energy efficiency upgrades. Wouldn't even give me guaranteed insulation upgrades. Offered me "air sealing" and Greenfoot didn't show up for 2 appointments and didn't call to notify me. The technicians called the day after 2 no show appointments and informed me they weren't doing air sealing anyways they were just coming to do the blower test and close my file. They caused me a ton of grief. Wish I never applied. Spent many hours on the phone and just constant disappointment. I just avoid applying for anything now because of this experience.

Ripped off!
We were away for 1 month and had everything non-
essential in our house turned off or unplugged but our power bill for that time period was the highest of the entire year! NB Power would not check to see if our meter was broken or misread, just offered ridiculous reasons why this could happen. They are difficult to reach and not pleasant to deal with. That's what happens when there is a monopoly. They just rip you off and are not accountable.

It was suggested to me by several NB Power Employees to sign up for 'Equalized Billing' I decided to try it, bc they told me I only had to pay the average of the previous years bills, per month ..and if I went over it is a late fee. I am under the poverty line and thought it sounded like a good option for me to pay the same amount every month. Last month I was - .82cents and this month my bill is $1600! I called and was told that is the amount I need to pay bc that is the amount I would have saved! I have a 2 year old here and I am poor. I surely do not have $1600 extra!

I would never have agreed to 'Equalized Billing' if I knew they would attempt to MILK $1600 from me a year later!! How about give me back the full amount of my Late Fees and you have your BLOODY $1600 RIGHT THERE. Plus, they are saying that my new 'Equalized Billing' Monthly Payment on my paper bill is $366 for this coming year, and on the website in my account info my new EPP amount is $413.34 for this month. Whoever is doing the math over there - must have got their Mathematics Degree from Satan, or the Cracker Jack Box.
