Very disappointed with my past couple experiences dumping at this location, guy running the scale charges whatever he thinks the load weighs. Was told the scale was broken and he is eyeballing my trailer. Terrible that they won’t get it fixed and think not charging off a weight and what they presume the load should cost is how they will provide service. Now I’m choosing the recycling centre down the road on nebo. Also was very rude to me when I asked him why he charged me high much last time I was here and didn’t know scale was off.

I generally find this station quick and staff are friendly and helpful. Today!! Not a good experience!! As I was backing up 50 feet of truck and trailer ( 190,000 dollars worth of equipment making it a little stressful to start ) …..to the dump station, I do this with my husband on the phone with me as he’s instructing me to back up. A person wearing a toque at the little shed became extremely rude when I guess l was supposed to ‘mind read’ that I was to take her instructions and not my husbands. I hopped out of my truck and explained to her that her body language and ignorant behaviour was unacceptable . I have worked for the city for 25 years and this is not how our city workers are expected to behave, I honestly wouldn’t speak to an animal the way she spoke to my husband and I.
She definitely would benefit from a coarse on basic skills in treating others with some dignity and respect!!

Waited 10 minutes watching a front end loader play around in the dumping bay pushing garbage up the pile only to have it fall down again. It moved to the other bay, and I was told I still had to wait so it could come back to the first bay and push more garbage up the pile so it could fall back down again. When it finally finished an attendant came and told me I had to wait for one of their "priority bins" that came after me to dump, "because they have prioity." I told her I am leaving then because I had to pick my kid up from school. So what does she do? Stand in front of my truck so I can't leave. Eventually left without dumping. Your exponentially increasing tax dollars at work 🙄

Line up is silly and employees not managing the lines properly. Need to make better use of getting people in and out.

I use the commercial side because my pickup has my name on it. As far as transfer stations go, its a dump! Drive up to the with scale, place a deposit of $100, wait for the signal man to direct you to your unloading zone and when your finished, drive back onto the scale and receive your refund of any. Very efficient way to do business. You pay for the weight of your junk.

I went here yesterday at about 1 pm .
They’re was a bit of a lineup of vehicles
but the system beeing run quite efficiently
it only took maybe 10 minutes to get thru
to dumpsters!

The staff that line us up or direct us
to our spots or dumpster bins are
methodical in their work and sound
happy with their jobs !

When i was done and got to the weight
scale or pay station the attendant i
had was the same one i had last time
i was there. He is quite a cheerfull guy
and always informative. This time he
said on Saturday he got nearly 700
vehicles go thru on scale !

Last time i mentioned to him the massive
amount of leaves or branches ect .. in
big piles . he mentioned that all that
stuff gets processed and recycled into
mulch and then pilled at 2 seperate and different locations and that i
can go get some for free as they
give it out to those who need some
for landscape needs or projects in community !

Awesome Place !

I went to pick up a recycling bin and there was no one to be found for 10 minutes. It's -10 outside and I don't have time to wait so I look around and don't see anyone but I do smell weed. Finally I notice the gate was unlocked and with another look I see no one once again. I just went in and took a blue bin. Than as I'm leaving finally someone shows up and says "don't go in there".

Go up
