Dropped off a huge bag here with a preprinted sticker (express) for the first time around late August. Was told no scanning was necessary for drop-offs, which is a bit different than the NV location. Normally, this kind of drop-off would reflect in my account after a day or two. I waited about a week to follow up and was told they were a little behind, which I understood. It's now almost November, and still no update or sign of the deposit. This will be the first and last time I use this location, and I'm glad it was just the one drop. I won’t be trusting this place again, and people should really think twice if they’re considering dropping off their recycling here. This is incredibly shady.

On August 3, I dropped off four bags but only three counted one time this happened last night. I dropped two bags off and only one bag was counted. Who’s taking my extra bag unsure what’s happening with this place I’ve always taken my bags there never had a problem but the last month this is two times now.

Possibly the best recycling center in Vancouver. Very friendly and hard working staff (saw me waiting behind another customer and rushed over to open another till). I have one closer to my home but I still prefer to drive there instead.

I just dropped off at least $2 worth of pop and beer cans for which the CSR was about to only give me $0.50. Had I not personally counted what I brought, both BEFORE I brought it to Mt Pleasant Return-It Express, and while I was there, witnessed the worker sorting my recyclables, AND spoken up two or three times... I am not in the habit of making the 15-20 minute trip from Penticton St and East Broadway just for $0.50. The minimum I bring is at least $1-1.50.

Normally, I really enjoy coming to Mt Pleasant Return-It Express. I used to drop off my recyclables at Go-Green on E 6th and Ontario. This most recent experience was extremely disappointing -- not to mention frustrating.

The staff is amazing and the music is always great. Seriously. This place has the best Jazz selection playing at all times, and today I got to listen to Count Basie while carefully putting my bottles to recycle.

Andrew, one of the owners, is exceptionally friendly, and has passed that on to his staff.

Darwin is an asset ... like Andrew, he's a very hard-working guy who's always smiling. There are two other young guys whose names I don't know - a tall guy with dark hair and a shorter Latino ... they each have a great work ethic.

In addition, there is usually great music (most often jazz) whenever I go there. The place could really use lots of renos, but they are relocating soon. (Regardless, even if they stayed put, with the building in the same condition, I'd continue to go there, as they're just so damned nice there.)

Good recycling depot in the neighbourhood. It is fairly clean as staff clean up the counters throughout the day and the staff who works here are friendly and honest. My only suggestion is to install a sink with warm running water and soap so that people can wash their hands afterwards.
