I was looking for a place to accept my old car batteries and house alarm batteries. Canadian tire wanted to charge me $30 dollars each. I went on a website and it directed me here. The lady on the phone is very nice.

Just want to let everyone know that it’s GATE 1. When you go pass the gate, inside your gonna see a little house like office. A person will come out and meet you at the weight scale.

They pay you for recycling. Yes that’s right. I was also surprised. Glad I found this place. Originally my main purpose was to recycle at a drop off place. But getting paid was even better. Thank you Mitchel island recycle! ♻️

Key points that can help you.

1. They have parking on the Main Street, if you’re uneasy about driving into gate 1. The further you drive in there’s all sorts of things on the ground that can or could puncture your tires. What I did was park outside and walked into gate 1 to check out the ground first. Also, you don’t wanna wear sandals in case either for safety reasons.

2. If you have a dolly I find that’s best, rather than lugging all that weight. This way you can pull your dolly to the weight scale.

3. IT IS VERY DUSTY around here. You may want to wear some glasses or eye protection. Once I got out of my car the wind picked up and all sorts of things were blowing in my eyes. I went straight home to wash my eyes out after haha.
