The smell was wonderful, it reminded me of my ex-wife’s cooking. When entering and leaving they insisted on weighing me, I felt violated. Are they saying I’m too heavy, am I too fat? What if they don’t let me go because I weighed to much, oh well, no shortage of food there, I guess. I went into the site with my bag of goodies and was disappointed that the place was so messy, garbage everywhere. I really liked the staff in the little booth there, they welcomed me into this, all-inclusive paradise on earth, and I didn’t need a plane ride to get there. I would not blame those lucky people that work at the dump if they never wanted to leave, with all that fun stuff there. A fridge for food, air conditioning for the hot days, I even saw a mattress the other day, ah….. a good night’s sleep at the dump, what more could any person living out of a trolley cart ask for. And I would especially like to thank google for allowing me to let everybody know about this very important and wonderful place where our garbage goes to be free. I feel truly blessed and honored to be one of the chosen 91 that can tell the world, of ever increasing important happenings, to rate this paradise, so every person may know the importance of how well our garbage is being treated.

I've been using the Mission Landfill for years. Conveniently located and well organized. The staff do their best in trying to organize all the different waste and busy traffic. Great job guys!!

Please invest 2$ for labels for your recycling cans. I am an autistic person who was dropping off metal. I had an article of garbage and I saw an unmarked can. I checked the (Bin?) It was just a round thing with a garbage bag in. It said nothing on it, the bag had nothing in it so I assumed it was garbage. Then the guy manning the area came over to inform me it's not for garbage. Fair enough, My bad, I assumed. Lesson learned.

But then he starts berating me, Telling me I should know better then to throw garbage in an unmarked ... It's not a bin, but if you saw it, one would assume it''s a garbage receptacle. He used foul language at me and insinuated that I'm stupid. I said my case, recommended that the can/bin be marked so that there is no confusion. He only got angrier and say "I'm lucky you''re not getting banned".

So to the people (Other then that guy) running this site, Can you please make sure all bins and receptacles are clearly labelled to avoid confusion like this in the future. Because apparently, according to this guy, it's a huge deal.

The cashier's and staff are friendly and helpful. Lots of room to back into the bin area to drop off your refuse and recyclables. Highly recommended over some of the municipal transfer stations. Resident discount with proof of Mission address.
