North Bay and Miller Waste have partnered to give us a growing landfill problem and expensive compost from dubious yard waste. This could be changed to set Miller Waste as a wonderful example for the future of mankind.

If we can work together to fix the food waste issue, as Sudbury has initialized, we can not only significantly reduce our greenhouse gas contribution, but we can set our community up for the beginning of local agricultural security.

If Miller Waste committed to composting food waste and engaged with the community to grow food collectively, they would set a prime example for the future to follow. Otherwise, the public should be made increasingly aware of the impact of a lack thereof. Miller Waste and City Counsel still have time to address this issue. If we choose to avoid it, what does North Bay choose? I'll be the first to volunteer as either a waste processor, or a dissident. We do not want any more landfill issues, and we want more compost:

If your company didn't hold a monopoly over yard waste composting, I would take most of the yard waste in this city for my single yard. I have come to find out that is illegal... There is a rapidly growing interest in more composting, and your company's input doesn't appeal to those who wish to grow food. Glyphosate can persist in soil for 12 years. I keep herbicides out of my garden, and so do others, sometimes vehemently so. This issue, coupled with the difficulty of shoveling and transporting, on top of cost, is the reason you do not sell enough compost to care to process food waste. Farmers will sell high-quality composted manure at the same rate, and they will even fill our truck beds using tractors to save us hassle.

The frustration with inaction grows as much as the demand for compost does, and the residents of North Bay who are aware of this issue have expressed significantly immediate concern. Some go as far as to donate their food and yard waste to my operation...

This issue looms over the minds of many. Together, we can compost the food waste, no matter the immediate costs or perceived lack of interest.

Make kindergarten garden again! Let us unite and solve! Want to make a large impact? Buy more land for building community gardens. Give the gift of growing food to those who need it!

I will retract this statement and all future initiatives if and only if I see a decent initiative in composting food waste. I offer five stars if addressed. This initiative should focus on how the organic matter can be used for the benefit of all people. The city needs your help, Miller Waste. I beg you as politely as is proper, and I dedicate myself to acute public awareness in the event you do not acknowledge the immediacy of this issue in kind.

On behalf of my community, as a concerned citizen, I implore an increase in collaboration and awareness. We may not be able to eliminate landfills, but we can take a step towards a solution in good faith, demonstrating how proper waste management can be a cornerstone in the health of a small community.

Absolutely amazing service!! I called last week in a panic and everyone involved from the person who answered the phone to the guys that dropped off and picked up the bin were amazing and all same day service!! I would totally recommend!!

We used the services of Miller Waste in North bay through a third party to remove construction material from a renovation at our home. In the process of doing say their equipment damaged our driveway during the use of a waste bin. They contacted us for photos, and had us fill out documents and get quotes for repairs. This process began September 4 2020. We provided what they requested to the best of our ability. This matter dragged on with no reply until May of 2021, when they again asked us to resubmit papers again and asked us further questions about our quote. On June 11 they informed us that they are not responsible for damage causes by their equipment on our property, "There is an implied obligation under our services agreement that our customers in which request to engage us for our services, undertake the responsibility to ensure the surface in which we have been contracted to provide services on, can withstand the weight and operation of our vehicles and equipment. That Miller is not responsible for inspecting the condition and capability of said surfaces." Despite their lame excuse, they wasted our time and effort for almost 10 months on a matter they had no intention to rectify. Very unprofessional, and irresponsible actions on their part.

Some of the reviews have shocked me, as I've been using this company for our business for the past ten years. When you call, they are always polite, and the drivers have never caused any issues. Without a doubt, I'd recommend them.

I ordered a dump box and I asked for a box 20’ in length because my garbage pile is 20’l, x 10’w, x 5-6’h. They bring me a box that is 15’ by 8’ by 4’ high. I asked for same day pick up to, when I called to tell them they brought the wrong box and I wasn’t impressed, because I only have 3 hours to fill it and have it taken away again the receptionist tells me I need to plan that in advance. I told her I did, Friday when I booked the 20 foot long box.

Never had an issue with recycling pickup before. Guy today left 2 bins of recycling, I'm assuming because they weren't in recycling bins. Everything was sorted properly, very lazy terrible service.

Terrible customer service with no respect for timelines. Also blew a hydraulic line and left the oil slick behind. Dropped off smaller bin than ordered ..secretary is arrogant and doesnt respect what you order in advance..blames the customer for not ordering properly..I dont recommend these clowns to anyone !!!

This place is awful. They're drivers don't pick up half of what they're supposed to l. The inconsistencies are beyond unreal. North bay needs better then millers.
