After calling to see what u need to do taxes . Get down there and suprise some things they left out . let alone u don't get past front door . And not even chair to sit on while fill out paperwork,and to fill out forms u have to get info off other paperwork so suppose to put on dirty carpet cause no where else . Have spinal injury and can't bend or get up and down so easy let alone germaphobe . So inhuman and disgusting and no way to do ur taxes . Also half receipts email or bank stuff or donations made and no contact so again if don't have data to email at office can't file and didn't notify ahead of time normally u sit and talk to someone . Not no more and they don't care if can't do or if u sit on floor, very rude and not humane

Hey people this place isn’t for black ppl that Liz woman that works there people she need to leave and hurry up too because all she do is pocket the money for help people recommend to there for assistance and her attitude is worse than a cat litter box that haven’t changed in two weeks my family friend was recommended there for yes employment to help with her dental clinic she was denied some else went the week after and was approved she’s racist people and not reliable and have a nasty attitude and tell you she doesn’t need to explain herself to anyone then she doesn’t how do we understand then take all my information and wait the week before court to tell me she can’t help and scream at me for asking why I can’t get help we’re in 2025 where black and white don’t really exist anymore but again ur in north bay where the law only applies to black ppl am tell you go there ur self for help black ppl and see what happened well keep sending and recommending ppl and count the denial because of the race

I'm a single mom. I was hopeful when somone told me Lipi helps with back to school supplies. I contacted them about getting help with even 1 item for back to school I tried my best to get my daughter what i could things are tough right now and were barley making it with our rent going up along with inflation. I explained my situation to lipi threw email hoping they could help. Only To be told in a very cold closed off cold way we can't help you the program is over. It was a week before back to school I asked even if they could help with a backpack it would help alot. And they disregarded me. Agnoired my message and said no. For a place that wants to claims to help people I felt very unwelcome and very pushed off. I won't ever try contacting them again after that.

1. Dropped off my income tax to be done by a volunteer. Called back they said to check back in another week. After three weeks they finally returned my papers and said they could not do them.

2. When I moved into my new apartment, I requested a hotplate, they said they had some but refused to help me.

Not sure if management has changed since then, but sure hope they have replaced or fired the old staff.

If I could give them a zero rating, I would.

Very truly disappointed with this Not for profit organization. Called 2 weeks ago spoke to Doug about a new Fridge. First one I got was defective and should have been sent back and replaced. 2nd one was from George's Appliances and didnt work for very long. It was second hand. Now I'm without a fridge. I called to see if they would allow me to buy a good new Fridge and split the costs. Like usual I never hear back from them!! Lana Mitchell might be great but her staff are very lacking in returning calls or helping with Stuff. Other's are more important I'm thinking. Best just to go to your MPPs office to get help and answer's! That's my next step. Maybe Anthony Rota can help me get a new Fridge!! After all we elect him in for a reason. Good luck to others.

Ive tried to contact someone in the facility for a month as they told me what information and documents i need for asstaince. I brought what was needed 2 weeks ago and now they will not answer the phone nor call back? (I understand it maybe unbelievably busy but.. it takes less then a few minutes to let any individual know that.

The woman that tried ro help us was great,that's what the stars are for as for getting help.....why have a program that bases their decisions on how much a family made the yr earlier and refuse them help. These programs are suppose ro help the ppl in need WHEN they need help,tell a person that" they should get packed and find a cheaper place" not great in a time of need
