They will rip you off any way they can. They started giving "penalties" by withholding a portion of your deposit if you accidentally sorted your product incorrectly. Bottle return is already an unpleasant task, and these folks just put it all over the top.

I gave one star just because there was no choice of any thing less.... they are shady RIP offs!!!! They give no receipts ....and play retarded when you ask them for one... I know I was just scammed by these asians who own and work there ....

I came to leave a review about the rude woman who works here, the one with the clown makeup, and was not shocked to see another bad review about her. I was dropping off bags for the “return it express” and I had 7 bags and she told me there was a 6 bag limit (that’s fine, whatever) and so my husband used his phone number to print out our additional tag separately for our one extra bag. And we saw her go to the bin and grab one of our bags and I’m pretty sure she removed the sticker because our refund was no where near what it usually is. Everyone else here is very kind and I’ve never had a problem returning more than 6 bags, but she needs to be fired. Very rude.

If I can give a negative star I would. This Korean lady is the rudest customer service person I have ever encountered. I went there today to recycle paint. I was holding the paint wrapped in paper because I didn’t want to get my hand dirty. She began to yelling at me across from the other side of the depot as I was reading the instructions. She then ran over to me and started yelling to my face. I told her “ you don’t have to yell. I can hear you just fine”. She then continue to yell they don’t take the paint, in which I clarified with her they don’t take paint unless in the original container. She continue to yell at me and said to me “ are you stupid!”. I then disengaged from her and walked away to my car to grab paint that was in the original container, and return to the depot to drop it off. She continue to yell and calling me all kinds of names. I also tried to return a handheld mixer. I placed on where instructions said to place the return electronic. She then thrown the mixer back to my car trunk. I picked up and confronted her, and asked her do they not accept electronic? And that was rude of her to just thrown the item in my trunk. She did not apologize and continued to yell and called me a stupid idiot. I had no choice at the time to call her back. She complete ruined my experience in trying to keep an green earth today. So, please be aware of this lady. Also, the other staff at the depot didn’t do anything to intervene, which seems to me this is very standard practice of this location.

I had to ask for receipts because the bottle count was way off.
They at least took 50 beer bottles off and 10-15 wine bottles - I pre-counted roughly.

I will give no stars if I could.

This place should be replaced with a Quebec style automated system. None of the staff should be dealing with people.

Meh, I honestly found the lady who works here to be the nicer one out of the staff even though I see there is a complaint about her on the reviews. The men who work here seem pretty rude most of the time and look like they hate their jobs and would rather be somewhere else. I do prefer this location over the other Coquitlam location since when I do get the lady who works here it seems like she counts the bottles and cans more thoroughly than at the other Return It location and will actually print out a receipt for you whereas the other location I feel like they just eyeball it to get it over with. I just wish they had nicer staff in general that's why I am only giving them 2 stars.
