They charged me a fixed monthly fee after I had moved out, despite no electricity being used, because their billing cycle runs mid-month instead of at the start and end of the month like tenancy agreements do. It ends up costing people moving in or out of their service area more than seems reasonable. I’m glad I don’t have to rely on them for electricity anymore.

Constant power outages across north end of London, multiple times a week for multiple months. First time? I understand. Second time? Unfortunate, but whatever. Roughly half a dozen power outages (or more!) in 3 months spanning from 30 minutes to half a day is inexcusable.

Absolutely no care. The last power outage (which happened 3 days ago), one of my friends contacted London Hydro for the estimated down time and got a response over 5 hours after the power.

This company is inept. They own a complete municipality-mandated monopoly over this city’s energy and they know they do. They don’t care if you complain, what are you gonna do about it? Not have power?

UPDATE: I emailed you as requested in your response to my review 3 weeks ago and have not heard back. Evidently customer service doesnt matter when you have a monopoly. Disappointed but not surprised.

Had lights flickering in various parts of my house, appliances randomy shutting down. Callef London Hydro, couple of guys came out, checked outside for maybe 2 minutes. Said everything is fine and the problem is inside the house. Paid a licenced electrictian to investigate, said everything is fine inside. Problem continued. Paid another electrician, also said there are no problems inside. Called London hydro again. Getting them to come out again was like pulling teeth as I was told the crew will do the same as the 1st. They came out, changeda bunch of parts and fixed the issue finally. I spent almost 400 bucks on electricians for nothing. If the 1st crew were more thorough this wouldnt have cost me $$$ for nothing.

No urgency fixing power outage, every time took 4-5 hours without sense of urgency at the summer with 33c temperature.
Unprofessional customer services no clue and update of the outage situation but just asked to walk to my nearby friend’s home for a/c mitigation.

Billing people half way through the month is both unnecessary and annoying. It should be done at the end of each month to make it easier for both tenants and landlords. To add to the frustration, the customer care representative rudely disconnected the call in the middle of our discussion. This is absolutely pathetic service. It’s time to step up-we are living in the modern world!

They cut off our neighbour’s power without confirming they had the correct power meter effectively leaving residential units without water for 4 days (and counting)- also I have called customer service and they have said their hands are tied as far as reconnecting quicker goes!

Got a bill this week with an overdue amount I checked multiple times online and nothing showed that I was short or anything let your customers know if the online or anything is not available so that the customers don't get behind on there bills
