Needed a differential diagnosis. None given.

Treatment = EMDR. Therapist Assessment of settings , Warned there may be side effects.

While in a public professional space, the "side effects" hit. Ppl were concerned. Called off on Ambulance. Ashamed, humiliating. Took a week to work through how to know for the next time, when I realized this was not an outcome I ever wanted again! I spent weeks feeling Afraid. She swore up and down, couldn't be the Treatment, she'd picked a low setting. Spoke w her Supervisor only to admit afterwards that she'd over-estimated my skill at functioning.

CAN experience Dissociation, must be stabilized first. "Survivors" of OISV&OIDV/OPSV&OPDV in Canada, don't yet have receive supports FOR stabilization bc accdng to Cad Govt, and uninformed ppl, OISV&OIDV doesn't exist (see the Narcissist's Prayer, by Dayna Craig), and therefore, there's a case of Hysteria (modernized name = BPD). The reality for Survivors IS that No One Is Safe, and Trust is Earned, and Everything Must be scrutinized.

OISV&OIDV in Canada are part of the Shadow Pandemic. Diane Wetendorf has a website, OPSV&OPDV (as it is known in the US) to legally help people dealing with this highly specialized form of SV & DV.

Here in Canada, we have: "cautioned to accept, “…if the assailant is a police officer, nothing is going to be done about it.”" - JoEllen Worden, 2022 8-page LLM Research Paper on OISV and OIDV in Canada.

Danielle Sutton, was forced to utilize News Articles. Her research has not been used to help address or prevent, track or even acknowledge these kinds of violence.

OISV&OIDV is a type of Group Bullying, and dependant on privilege, ignorance, professional courtesies. It is a life sentence to misery, isolation and mental health issues, misdiagnosis, and untreated or Failed Treatment Options.

Mental Health Supports with CPTSD (NOT OISV&OIDV Related) is vastly different than receiving treatment for "female hysteria" (aka BPD). See Judith Herman's 'Trauma and Recovery/ Truth and Repair' books.

A Survival tactic that OISV&OIDV/ OPSV&OPDV Survivors are Excellent at = masking. Often leading to a Co-Morbid diagnosis of ADHD. Often relies on Dissociation. Tactics Equally common for Survivors of NPD Abuse Or Professional/ Color of Law Abuses.

It is Extremely difficult to ask for help.

It is extremely difficult to trust.

Often a complete medical history and other pattern detection is required. Where EMDR treatment fails, a complete history or assessment hasn't been completed. For me, there's a Standing Diagnosis from someone Presumed to be reputable, leading to greater harm. As it did.

She mentioned she has another client involved with an RCMP member locally, experiencing IPV. I tried to keep trusting her. Therapy is required.

I Know from education about OISV&OIDV/ OPSV&OPDV that If an abuser IS IN Law Enforcement, or has completed the SSWD/ Crim Diploma Program in Canada, they KNOW they're committing a crime. They arrest / charge / represent etc ppl who have received harsher penalties for lesser issues.

IF her abuser is someone with MORE Power / Control / Authority, it is no longer a simple case of "ipv / sv / dv" it is far more serious.

For those who are seeking help for issues like "Gee, my kid picks their nose / they squabble / don't like mealtimes" I'm sure she'll be Excellent.

For those of us with CPTSD / PTSD from NPD Abuses / OISV&OIDV, perhaps maybe next time? If she starts taking it seriously?

I wish I could have given 5 Stars. I needed it. My family needed that. Here's hoping that I find someone willing to do the work, and succeed at helping, before it no longer matters.
