I have worked here for over a year and despite what some ex-employees write, it is a growing company that rewards those who do their work. They hire a diverse group of people, there are incentives, bonus', and free coffee/snacks/food at every location. If you aren't lazy, this is a great place to work and advance as they promote from within as much as possible. As a customer of Jr&S prior to working for them - I was able to drop almost anything to recycle at the big locations. Anytime I don't know what to do with something (ie: a used helium tank, old broken electronics) the operations team tells me exactly where to bring it so it doesn't end up in a landfill!

Big time loosers - They dont pay accurate prices, extremly rude to people working for them. Always try to cost cut even after these many years in business- coffee creams they buy for staff is expired (due to cheaper price)
Sales team is amazing, no doubt.
But the co-ordination people are total jokers, out of 6 people 4 think they are managers.
Each and every person I worked with has mocked the owner in his absence, each lady involved in coordination is a back bitcher.
Think more there twice before your work with them.

Tires of seeing your help wanted ads with criminal rates of pay. You've had want ads for every position for the last 12 months. 23$ an hour for a ticketed welder? Why wouldn't you pay the prescribed rate for a journeyman? 23$ is less than 1st year apprentice wage. Get a grip, you've got 2 stars on indeed. Pay more.

Extremly unprofessional place to work , regardless 1 or 2 person every other person has a manager attitude. They can screw your time & keep you on the hook even after you are hired. Job seekers - please dont just relay on this job. Pathetic place to work seriously, I regret my initial choice have wasted my months here successfully.
Hope anyone reading this wont do the same.

As mentioned in other reviews, the parking can be a little tight and it's easy to miss the turn into the driveway. But, excellent service! It can be really overwhelming as a young woman to take in scrap metal but everyone was extremely kind on the bottle side as well as the scrap weight and refund side. Plus they are currently taking (and paying!) for electronics not recieved by other DivertNS sites

I've always had a great experience bringing my refundables here! They are quick and accurate with their counting and always so friendly! My one complaint would be the parking situation as it can be a little tricky getting in and out, but asides from that, the staff here are lovely! P.S. to those negative reviewers who insist that they didn't receive the correct refund amount: count your own refundables if you're not going to trust the workers to do the work for you.

It was my first time and i expected a transparent system, where i can see each item being counted and shown the refund amount, like its done where i cam from. but i came with over ten bags full. and we were asked to wait outside and then this guy comes out with $44. i do not believe that the refund was that little for the number of items we brought, we needed two cars to bring them. I think it was worth a little more. lesson learned.
