The only reason I am giving this a 2 is because the staff is always nice and helpful when I call (and I have to call a lot). Otherwise I would have given 1 star as I feel this is a management issue. From the beginning, nothing has gone smoothly with this company. For a number of weeks they were only picking up garbage without picking up recycling with no explanation or heads up. I called a couple of times and I was finally given an explanation that one of their trucks was down…. Fair … but then I was told that they would be picking up my recycling every Friday. One Friday goes by with no pick up. I called the following Monday and was told there were a number of complaints about this. We are trying again today. I would stop using this company but it is easier than dealing with the recycling depot. Catch 22

The dumpster at Sunnyside MHP required repair. I called in Monday afternoon and they had it repaired Tuesday mid morning.
The repair technician Brad was professional and well versed in what was required and was extremely helpful with any and all questions. The main office was courteous and professional dealing with the issue.
I highly recommend GFL for waste and recycling disposal.

Unreliable, unprofessional, next to impossible to get ahold of anyone, staff always assures you someone will follow up but it never happens. 50 percent of our pick ups are missed and the response is ‘we will have to charge you for an extra pick up’. I feel for the people who don’t have a waste management option outside of this company because it is truly atrocious. Hire a local guy with a truck and save yourself the headache and nonsense.

Absolutely horrible!! They have the contract for the City of Rossland. We have once a week garbage pick up and they simply don't pick up in certain neighbourhoods or streets. I now have 4 weeks of garbage in my garage. This affects many of the residents of the City of Rossland. They are paid for a service which they do not provide.

Have not have garbage or recycling pick up in 6 weeks. Garbage pick up is supposed to be weekly. I have called the office and left a message over 12 times with no call back. Been calling them since the beginning of December with no response. I cannot believe the residents of Rossland are forced to deal with this company.

They broke lid on bin and said that they would replace the bin. They never came and a bear kept getting into it. Ended up hiring someone else to fix the bin. Absolutely useless. Also our bin has been in the same location for years and now they keep putting it in the middle of parking area no matter how many times we ask them not to.

They seem to be hit and miss with their pickups for collecting. Now I have 4 weeks of recyclables that will be taken to the landfill. So much for encouraging people to be reducing waste. There are five of us on Jones Road in Robson that quite often are completely missed while everyone else around us gets collected.

Have not even attempted to pick up my biweekly recycling in the last 6 weeks. I have called their office 4 times and each time they say they will call me back and have never done so. The level of service for whatever reason is unacceptable and their communication is non existent.
