Had Beau install a 13 KW array on my property as a ground mount with bifacial panels . Great install as he suggested timber frame mounting with helical ground mounts.

Was installed in 2021 and has runs flawlessly until just recently when we had our inverter fail. Called and they had the unit replaced within 2 weeks. Great service

Rough experience with Heliotechnik’s installer. Unprofessional installation crew, scheduled to arrive at 9:30am but chose not to show up until 2pm. Very poor communication and customer service. Edit: We had to clean up the garbage left behind, but Helio did send someone by yesterday to get rid of the entire pallet left behind our house. They’re trying to make it right.

We had Beau and his team do our installation in 2012. Little over 8yrs later now and I'm happy to report that our system has been rock solid. We live in a particularly windy area in Vaughan and sometimes I worry the whole roof could fly off. But clearly a very well installed racking... I've seen neighbors shingles blown off and my are totally protected by the rock solid solar panels.

These guys aren't fly by night for sure. Clearly they've stayed in business for so many years based on the quality of their work... my own personal experience when they did my home was they were very professional and thorough. I particularly liked their personalized experience, they didn't see me as "just another job" but took the time to answer all my questions and come back to review any concerns I had by actually getting back on the roof to take the time to make sure all was well. Their after-install care is great too. Even years later they follow up to check on my system and address any concerns. That is when you know you went with the right company.

Heliotechnik's quote was a little higher than others but justifiably so. They offered us a larger system, high-quality inverter that allows detailed monitoring, and huge support throughout the process. They took care of permits, etc., were available frequently for questions, invariably polite, pleasant, etc. when working, and made the whole thing a good experience. There were delays working around the permitting process from the city and from Hydro. They warned us to expect these and did their best to work around and readjust as needed every time. Overall can't speak highly enough of Beau and the rest of the team. Same goes for Anna in their customer service. If seeking a quote, they'll answer your questions well, honestly, and with as much detail as you prefer. Would happily and highly recommend them!

I really wanted to give Beau a good review. He is a likeable young man and I truly believe he means well. There is a way to behave in business and this is where Beau falls down.
To be fair our installation was done during covid and as a small one man business he had trouble recruiting help for the installation-- it took over a year! I hate paying money and then having to chase people to honour their commitments. But, eventually he got the work done.
The problem arose when the solar panel install was not done correctly. He had bunched up 16 panels in one location as instructed but, he tied them on a single line which blows fuses. The fuses are up on the roof and are 300V so while easy to replace it is not a job for a senior who is not trained. I asked him to repair the mistake which I was willing to pay for or at least replace the fuse on a service call so we could function while looking for another company to fix his mistake. He will not pick up the phone, return a call, a text or an email even though he was asked politely. This problem is exacerbated as he is the only one who knows the wiring layout, adding cost and headache for the next company as well as a financial penalty for me.
Beau also cut off one of the ventilation pipes on our roof without my permission. We now have dead squirrels caught in our septic system.
