This was our first time hiring Groves Electric for our first major electrical project as new homeowners, and they exceeded expectations. They installed two whisper-quiet Panasonic bathroom fans with timers—one in the main bathroom and one in the basement bathroom—both from scratch. They also added a new outlet in the basement bathroom, moved the light switch from outside the bathroom to inside where it belongs, and installed a new exhaust vent by cutting through the foundation. On top of that, they fixed a home inspection issue with our electrical panel by replacing a cross-branded breaker so it matched the rest.

From start to finish, the experience was excellent. The team was friendly, arrived on time in the morning, and worked efficiently while keeping everything clean. They gave us a thorough walkthrough of their work before leaving and left the spaces spotless. Their pricing was very fair compared to other electrical companies, and unlike the others—who either gave unchanged ballpark prices or just guessed without seeing the work—Groves Electric was the only one who offered to come by first and inspect the rooms they’d be working on. That made a huge difference.

We’re extremely happy with the results and would gladly recommend Groves Electric to anyone needing electrical work done right.

Could not be more pleased with our experience with Groves Electric Inc. From our first call asking for an estimate the communication has been fantastic!
Dave and Jack updated our 70+ year 60 Amp service to 200 Amp. They consistently communicated well and would let us know time of arrival and were punctual. They were extremely pleasant and very tidy when working. After the first long day of prep work, you would not have known they were here due to the cleanliness of work areas.
We will definitely use Groves Electric again and highly recommend to others.

Our family used Groves electric to install our pool equipment and they did a fantastic job from beginning to end. During the installation, there was no issues at all. After the installation, they Told us they forgot to bring a ethernet cable and they’ll arrange to come the following week. I didn’t even have to follow up with them. They delivered it installed it no problems at all. Highly recommend using this company for all your electrical needs..

Absolutely outstanding work! Dave and Jack added some new outlets to the bathroom in our house, built in 1960, and installed a bathroom fan as well. This involved running a new line in the basement, and heading into the attic to connect the fan to the vent, and they did it all efficiently, professionally and without any issue. They communicated what they were doing and when, at each step of the process, and answered any questions that I had throughout the process.

As they were on their way out they also helped me with an issue I'd been having with my new exterior lights, which was well outside the quote or scope of what they'd come to do, and was very generous of them to do.

I would recommend Groves Electric to anyone in need of professional electrical work, and would not hesitate to use their services again should I need them.

Nothing but praise for Groves Electric. We used them when we recently did a full rewiring job on our recently purchased 4 storey century home. The top two floors had a considerable amount of knob and tube that needed replaced and there was additional work associated with an addition remodeling. The also property had 3 electrical panels that were consolidated into one. We had several companies provide quotes and Greg was both extremely knowledgeable but also immediately put us at ease regarding the scope of the work. The pricing was comparable to the other quotes but the feeling of competence and experience was what truly won us over.
Dave and the guys were able to start the job quickly and spent the next couple of weeks methodically going through the house and keeping us informed as the job proceeded. There were able to make suggestions on the best way to approach some of the requests we made and offered ways to save money as well.
After the initial rewiring they came back to do the electrical work on a main floor in-law suite and the new work was as impressive as the remediation portion.
We plan to bring them back to do the work on the outside of the property once we have completed that part of the renovation.
We are so happy that we chose to use Groves Electric and have no reservations in recommending them to others.

They are a great reliable electric company that does the job to code but they are not cheap. They did our hot tub and fuse panel on the house previously I think for $3000 for the hook up and another $2000 for the fuse panel that had to be upgraded with breakers to hook it up.
We had another job done and I think it was $2000 which seems reasonable.
The latest job which I tried to figure out with a volt meter indicated the breakers were all working with the negative connection sitting in the same spot cost us $180 MINIMUM PER HOUR PLUS TAX for a loose screw in the negative side of the breaker. I was kind of upset with the cost on that and they didn’t offer a discount. I didn’t move the negative wire on the volt meter when I was testing because the wires were so close. Expensive lesson $203 later. I’m in the wrong business. 🙁 . They said the screw was loose probably since the house was built so they checked the rest of them.
That’s a newer house for you shoddy work and basic cheap materials.

Groves Electric answered my phone call, dispatched a tech-Jake, called me when en route and showed up on time. Also, Bonnie in the office kept me informed. The problem was diagnosed quickly and professional. I am a satisfied customer and will continue to use and recommend Groves Electric should the need arise.

Neil came Friday to see the work we needed for a hot tub installation. Gave us his recommendations of what had to be done and what should be done along with a quote. Explained the work he was going to do and answered all our questions. Scheduled Grove to come back on Monday. Neil came back along with apprentice Chris to do the electrical requirements. They worked very well and efficiently together. Job completed quickly. Very knowledgable and personable.
A great experience with them. Will call them again for sure.
