Only went once, but overall, I felt uncomfortable there, and I'm hesitant in going back. I brought some old batteries in a small jar, and an empty soda bottle, and I wasn't sure where to go and what to do. A woman came by who looked like she worked there, and she asked what I was bringing, and promptly took it all. I asked if there was anything else I needed to do, as I was expecting change for the bottle, but she just said that that was it, and promptly left me there. Never got the change, she never looked back, and that was it. Never had this experience at other depots before, so it was jarring.

Today I went to being in my bottles and express deposit items and asked if there scanner was working. The two men there were eager to help and when it appeared that the scanner was not working they processed my bags immediately for me. I then managed to drop a tray of wine bottles and they were very kind about it. They even rounded up my deposit to make a little contribution to the charity that I direct my refunds to. Thanks guys!

But! @encorp - you guys need to do a better job of keeping these scanners working and/or find a more reliable method of processing returns.
Original review- Fully 50% of the occasions that I have attempted to use the express service here the scanner isn't working. They've said "don't worry it's fine" or "sometimes it doesn't work", and I've been told by others in the same situation at this location that they DID NOT get credit for the returns. Fix this or stop offering the service.

Apparently they don't accept soy or oat milk cartons if they are the "barista" variety. It doesn't mention this anywhere on their website, but that's what the girl said. She said it was some contractual/red tape issue. But it seems pretty arbitrary to me. Either way... Mention it on your website. So annoying. Like it says return for refund on the carton.

Anyway I asked her where I take them for my refund. She shrugged her shoulders and said "maybe London drugs"?

Why would London Drugs take them What?

Not only do they offer full exchange rates, but Jess was extremely helpful. My van was packed and she brought out a large bag on a pallet jack that I happily overfilled. I arrived later than I should have for how slow I was sorting, but thankfully her bf was there waiting for her and for a small fee he helped me sort things out before closing time (though I'm sure that's not one of their services). I just want to thank you guys for making a huge burden so easy to deal with! Happy holidays!

Today my mother went to return some cans, a 6'3 man with dark reddish hair and a beard wearing blue overalls helped her carry the bag of returns and made sure she scanned it, and then promptly ushered her out.

We believe after leaving he emptied the bag and returned the cans himself, a female family friend has had a similar experience where this same man entered her vehicle and stole her returns at this location, he was apparently banned for a short period of time and is now back to continue victimizing women.

We attempted to reach the depot by phone to confirm with regard to today's return but they did not answer.

Not a safe location for women or those who believe in the kindness of strangers, no one is looking out for your well-being here.

Please can you update your hours so we can utilize your services? Website said you close a 5:oo pm.

If your doors need to close at 430 please update your hours on google and your website to reflect that. Thank you kindly for your professional concern to this matter. I showed up at 440pm to print my stickers & drop my 6 bags off. Wasting my gasoline and time. Your doors were shut.

Been going for eleven years, never felt shorted ever. Don't criticize workers unless you have been in their shoes. Don't show up with not enough time to sort your stuff before quitting time. Nobody wants to work without being paid, duh. Be polite and patient, don't try to cut the line, we don't like that. Just saying.
