DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY! They came to pick up hazardous waste from my employer and after being told twice that the bulbs they were given contained mercury, they proceeded to smash them all by hand in a barrel in the back of their truck with the door wide open. Releasing all that mercury into the immediate environment.
They were also given lead to dispose of, and they had no idea what lead even was. I tried to explain multiple times what it was and why we couldn't throw it out ourselves and they continued to say they'd never heard of it. What kind of training do these people recieved!?
Their online statement of environmental sustainability and care when disposing hazardous waste would be laughable if they weren't charging people for actively harming the environment!

First week that GFL takes over the contract for Surrey and they have completely failed and let us down. My green waste has been rotting in the bin for 11 days now, (last pick up March 27) it’s full and I have no where to put any other green waste. It’s still sitting on the curb. I live in a townhouse complex and having bins to drive around since missed pick up on Tuesday (now Friday) is a massive inconvenience. They just keep saying “leave it out” so they have no idea when they’re picking up.

GFL clearly needs some serious evaluation on operating standards. The reviews and average rating speaks volumes how customers feel. You need to do better at servicing the contracts you hold.

The only reason you get 1 star is because I can’t give you zero.

Guy was holding his phone and might watching videos and just cut off my truck - had to hit the brakes so hard and showed middle finger .. might call cvse as I have video footage

Very bad service, left the organic bin and it’s smelling outside in the neighbourhood. City of Surrey keep lying about that they are working over the weekend and will definitely pick up. I have not seen not a single truck on Saturday and Sunday.

Understaffed (common to walk in and wait/call out for a few minutes before someone shows up the office), poorly organized lot (line of trucks often backed up onto the road, no markings to follow), tight cells, and the facility is only able to handle one truck at a time which means super long wait times if it's busy. Certain vendors will also show up randomly and basically stop the entire facility for 30-90 minutes while they load/unload before trucks can resume dumping. Not unusual to wait 2, 4, even 6 hours in line.

Pack a lunch, and possibly dinner if you're coming here.

Weekend staff are brain dead, they have no idea what is going on in the plant. There is 2 of them working and neither of them could put together 2 pcs of a 3 pc puzzle. No service, no help, they just wander around telling you to ask the other guy cuz “he will know”… best of luck finding them. They don’t answer the radio and hid in the plant.

Scheduled Recycling pick up completely missed and 2 days later no pick up still. I've heard of a lot of issues with pick ups in Surrey from day 1.

Don't come here if you ever want to leave lol it doesn't matter what you bring or what time of day is you will sit for a very very long time.
