Worked here as an operator for a time. Most of the staff were cool, helpful and worked diligently, but managers didn't thoroughly care for the safety, proper training or organization of the plant. I only had 1 properly sized industrial uniform that fit me for a job that involves wastewater. The uniform belonged to a previous employee, and all the others available were too big, but I just used them anyway because I wanted to get the job done. One of the supervisors in particular was in over his head and out of line, on spying on coworkers during their lunch breaks over the cameras at the facility, and admitted it. In addition, it didn't help that I found out after a team meeting for the day plan from my coworkers, that the manager apparently spies on staff from home (over the cameras) to make sure they are working (even when the evening arrives and there are no trucks to offload), and routine maintenance at the plant is taking place which isn't always heavy duty work/can involve a break here and there. Nevermind the fact that I sprained my lower back and was refused a day off of work, but employee parking is practically non-existent, nor does the facility actually have a decently sized area for staff (about 6 of us on shift) to comfortably each lunch or take a break, its just a tiny kitchen with one small round table. No privacy unless you want to sit in the changerooms with dirty uniforms.

The worst thing here.... probably dealing with blatant sexism from one of the Accuworx truck drivers when I was trying to take a sample (this is routine, and required) from his truck before discharging into the plant. The driver was impatient, and his behavior posed a safety risk because he tturned on the pump and started messing with the plant's discharge equipment without clearance (he was about to cause the hose and the tank to overload because he wanted to rush things). I was only kind to him, but he refused to listen and a supervisor had to be called. I soon overhead the trucker mention he didn't "want no woman on top of his truck (where I have to take the sample)" and while I get wastewater isn't a field that commonly has women working in it, I was only doing what is required to ensure the safety of lab staff, the facility and the sewers by-law guidelines for discharging wastewater. THIS IS TAUGHT IN SCHOOL which I attended and graduated from to earn this job. and is adhered to by the municipal gov. in Peel Region, so there was no reason for things to get this disorderly. I was actually surprised and hurt, because I was never rude, only kind to him, and he basically disregarded safety. After that experience, I just hated this place even more, I was angry, annoyed and just wanted to leave. I kept it together for the remainder of the shift, and eventually I just quit. I couldn't stand being in that environment after working so hard to become qualified as a WW operator in Ontario and through school.

Luckily, I soon found a career that actually treats employees with respect, values their health, safety and efforts, and learned from this experience. I wish the staff here well, but I don't recommend this place to work for graduates of environmental tech. wastewater quality or heavy equipment operation etc. It's not worth it.

When it comes to highly emergency situations, as a vacuum operator there has been many desperate times for me to off load. Sure Horizon has been exceptional in communication with us in these moments. They provide the proper disposal of every load, even at late hours, showing true dedication to the industry. Our job at Aqua Fast Flush is to fix plumbing issues and deal with desperate flooding situations, including enviornmental disasters. Without Sure Horizon/Accuwerx/GFL the community would honestly not survive. You service is truely appreciated!

They are the worst place to come too offload if your not part of gfl environmental or accuworx they will make you wait for hours to offload your truck...you could be first in line an they will by pass you to one of the other two companies

Recently renovated. A very efficient processing and disposal facility, its no wonder many companies deal directly for cost savings.

Stay away from this company.
Not professional, subcontract their trucks, don't do the job as proposed, nothing but trouble.
