GFL was a good place to work for the first five years but as soon as I turned 65 they fired me they told me that I was being laid off, which is a lie because they were hiring people the same day they were firing me so for anybody that works for GFL make sure you are prepared to be fired when you're 65 years old was never sick and I never missed today's work. I was always up to the challenge. If somebody asked me to do something for them I was there to do it. I even took on extra tasks because that's the kind of guy. I am so like I say, prepare yourself when you turn 65 you will be fired

Talk about price gouging!
GFL Environmental has been our waste management company for 10 (?) years. Paid double what we should have all through COVID because my rep didn't change our pickups as requested. Fine, that's on me; I didn't confirm it had been done.
Checked with our neighbour what they are paying. They are paying $250 for twice a week pickup and we are paying $850 for twice a month. The rep told me he could give change my rate to $250/month and a 3 month credit. I've been paying $600 extra for 2+ years (likely more) and he can give me a $750 credit. When I asked for 6 months, he said he couldn't possibly do that.
Guess we are changing Waste Management companies

I have been with GFL for for a few years my rates have double ($80-$180) in 2021 they changed my pickup day from a Tuesday to a Thursday without any notice I was just expected to know that they were changing it. Now I’m having issues with them picking up my garbage at all ever. I have contacted them many times and been rescheduled many times and still nothing. So now I’m trying to cancel but apparently when you sign up for gfl services you sign a 5 year contract that they are trying to hold me to even tho they are not holding up there end of the deal.

Money Grabbing business! charged our business $1500 per month for bin replacement, drop off and lock update and then never showing up! for the following month, added charges for not unlocking the bins. Unethical, rude and ignorant managers

We paid GFL by chq and they also charged our CC. it is now close to impossible to get our money back. For the last two months we have been bounced back and forth between people and nobody is willing to help. The entire experience was poor and absolutely frustrating. We shall never deal with them anymore. At this point I am still waiting for my hundreds of dollars to be given back to me. There is no way to get in touch with their accounting department but by an automatic voicemail and they will not return the calls. Next option is to sue them.

Dumped organics all over our driveway and left the bin laying in our driveway (the bin was in a position where he easily could have grabbed it with the claw where we had placed it) the garbage trucks look extremely run down and unsafe GFL as a whole really seems to be going down hill and if it wasn't a contract with the city and we had the choice of what company collected our garbage we would definitely not be choosing GFL. We even waited until he came back down the ally to try and talk to him and he just drove right by.
