I was in a panic when our furnace failed recently on a Sunday. Called the emergency # and got a real person! The tech was at our house within 1 hour to get us heat. Got a quote on replacement part the next day and fully repaired within 2 days. Exceptional service! Would highly recommend these guys.

We have had excellent service from Fred Hook and company on two occasions, for a hot water heater replacement and for a generator service.The front office staff are knowledgeable and accommodating and the technicians are skilled and friendly. Had new high end furnace and central air installed when we bought our house with nothing but problems all related to poor installation, education and communication. Only after my own diagnosis and telling them what to fix for the multiple problems did it start to function properly. Then they still charged me for the work. Go somewhere else.

DO NOT GO HERE if you want to buy smaller amounts of steel. Not only do they heavily mark up the price of material, they will in addition, charge you whatever portion of their hourly rate to sell you the product.

There are other MUCH cheaper options locally or drive to Barrie for metal…it will be much cheaper.

Based on my experience of being unceremoniously ripped off by this company, I would not use them for any venture or project.

The people that you talk to on the phone are nice but seems to have an .

We are opening up a commercial kitchen I'm at Fred Hook come in and look at the exhaust system. They told me they would have an engineer and look at it and have an estimate for us by the end of the week or early next week - but the estimate never came in. I called our service contact twice - and in both cases information was coming but never arrived.

Maybe it's just that they are too busy. But they had told me twice that they would be able to help us get open and in the end they delayed us by 1 to 2 weeks. Pretty disappointed.
