The customer services and technical team were very helpful, they understood our situation and made all efforts to make it happen on time. Special thank you to a project planner Kyle Engelman for a detailed explanation of the process and quick processing of our request and to Blake the technician on site who did excellent work.

This review is for anyone who has ever been harassed by a Fortis employee the way I was in the summer of 2018, when Fortis and Epcor accused me of not paying my energy bill for an industrial bay. They had the wrong meter. Let me be loud and clear about this: they didn't even know their own equipment placement.

If this ever happens to you, find me on Facebook. Apparently I'm better at troubleshooting this than Fortis. Embarrassing.

Hello,
I'm sending thii review in the hopes it will be reviewed by someone that cares and has the fortitude to do something about it. We were promised a electricity supply would be into our home by Christmas 2022, Vallard the subcontractor so far has provided absolutely terrible service. Two weeks ago they dropped the power poles plus all the other components to complete the task. They have yet to work a full day on the project. Two or three hours a day at best. We have a contract with Fortis that states our home will be connected to power by Christmas, at Vallard's current rate of work it seems the task will not be completed on time but probably not finished until well into January. This is unacceptable by anyone's standards. Selection of subcontractors should be of a high standard which it obviously is not.

Outstanding service, very helpful and courteous customer service. They were able to expedite an ENR within a couple of hours instead of the planned 3-5 business days provided by the carrier. Highly recommend!

I had an intermitten power loss to half the house, 3 times in a couple of weeks. Today when it happened I called them. The phone attendant was pleasant and quick to answer my questions. Based on what I told her she made a service request. She said he would be out today and asked if there was anything else she could help with. Very happy with the appointment process. The technician was here within an hour( on a late Saturday afternoon). I told him what was happening and he checked the meter box.tested the breaker, turned out to be faulty. He replaced it and I checked the house, all was working again. Up and running within 30 minutes. The technician was also pleasant and say to talk to. Thank you for the exceptional service.

FORTIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORT COMPANY I HAVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH! The only reason people tolerate their incompetence is because they have a quasi monopoly on rural Alberta's electrical system. There is no communication between field technician's and office folk. Everything is disorganized and there's always some excuse for not getting the job done. I have been waiting for almost an entire year to get 2nd service installed on my property because of this lack communication. Those in charge and field personal are now contradicting themselves on a daily basis in terms of what is required of me as a home owner. Prepare for a total gong-show when dealing with Fortis!

Lukely Power outage is free of charge at Fortis, it would cost me a furtune with so many outages. Bad equipment , bad maintenance unsatisfied customers is the outcome of failing Management.

So many outages in the last couple years, feels like we’re living in a 3rd world country. Not to be expected with the exorbitant delivery fees on the electric bill.
