I was surprised by the remote location southwest of Parrsboro by about six kilometers on Bay View Rd.

The efforts to get renewable electricity from the continuous water power of the tides were sought by FDR to make weapons and equipment for our country and the Allies in WW1, beginning in about 1939. Since the Bay of Fundy has the highest tides in the world, this is an ideal location to create a successful power plant.

However, for nearly a century, the forces of water power have so overpowering that they have destroyed human’s best efforts.

I learned that the governments of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Germany have begun funding the most promising projects of engineers, entrepreneurs, scientists, hydrologists and electricians worldwide. Once we are successful here in the Bay of Fundy, tidal energy will become a major source of renewable electric power worldwide. The successful team is expected to make history, improve the environment forevermore, create an entirely new source for employment opportunities and generate tremendous profits for their members.

There are numerous teams at work to solve these challenges. The Director, Sandy, explained that some teams are currently working in Japan, the UK, even in the state of Utah! (This leader is retired from the Pacific Coast.)

I hope humanity will succeed with this goal during my lifetime, or at least to benefit the future generations.

Learned about the history of tidal energy, their ecological approach, and their next steps. Staff answered our questions and shared their perspective. Film gave a great perspective on the last test installation. Highly recommend if you like learning about renewable energy options. Beautiful setting for a picnic afterwards.

Very interesting to learn how the tides can be used to generate renewable energy. Sandra was extremely helpful in explaining how it all works! Not to mention, the views are magnificent!

Had a great time. I learned a lot, but to my surprise, there were kids activities (coloring, blocks, books, outside soccer balls) so I got to actually read most of the information and bonus, my kids loved it! We even stayed and played soccer out front and enjoyed the fantastic view. The staff lady was great with my kids and very knowledgable. I enjoyed the drive out there- we even saw a porcupine cross the road. Great views! On the way, drive down Lighthouse Rd.

the rotation of the earth is not renewable. if canada had a space program, this would not be allowed to be taking place. get a space systems aerospace engineer to show you the math (since clearly you have not looked into it), doing this on a large scale is not an option.

It is NOT in downtown Parrsboro as some websites imply. Instead it is about 6 miles southwest of Parrsboro via Whitehall Road (follow the signs for Ottawa House and keep going past it). FORCE is a small museum, with mostly text exhibits. A few small 5" or so tall models. The text exhibits contain numerous unattributed “stock” photos which apparently have nothing to do with the subjects. Nice view.

A really great place to learn about the tidal power research being done in the Bay of Fundy, and it doesn't hurt that the views are stunning from where FORCE is based. Great exhibits inside!

FORCE is a joke and has no business in our waters. Completely disrespectful to our Provence, businesses, environment, local people and entrepreneurs. Nothing but whole lies and half truths. Get your meat grinder out of here. Shameful at best!
