I had my Home Energy Evaluation in Nov 2023 for pre retrofit inspection and July 2024 for post retrofit inspection. Fu from Energy Werx Alberta did both inspections. Fu did a very good job during the visits. He was very knowledgeable. He made a detailed inspections on the house, patiently answered my questions, advised me how to greatly improve my home energy efficiency, where were the key areas to improve to maximize the government green home grant. I highly recommend Fu.

I live in a 100+ year old house and wouldn't have known where to focus my energy to improve efficiency were it not for Matt's audit and information. He was patient, knowledgeable and guided me through the house, explaining where he was noticing leaks, many of which I wouldn't have thought of. I just had my post audit and he estimates my changes improved efficiency by 20%. Matt's guidance has helped me make my home more efficient and most notably, far more comfortable throughout. If you want to make improvements but don't know where to start, start with Energy Werx.

Hired this company to do our "energy audit". Seemed fine at the time but they completely dropped the ball on our attic. Technician claims we were "golden" a R37-38. We discovered the tech was not even close during the cold snap since we had and frost started forming on our ceiling. We brought in insulators to review and advise. All 3 companies agreed there was zero insulation in the corners (they supplied picture and let myself look at the problematic area) with an average of R26to28. We hired a company to fix the issues and they discovered even less in areas (as little as 3"). We had to spend an additional 2200 to fix the "golden attic". Due to the incompetence we unable to get rebates or have this added to our Green Home loans. Also our energy audit numbers are our by a mile. Do yourself a favor and have a home inspector visit you home before you get these "energy audit" "companies" in to screw up your life! If I could give less than one star I would! After the companies reponce, I now add this: sad to see you can't admit to dropping the ball. Regret hiring this company, cost me even more money than quoted above. I knew there was something off after talking to CMHC but could not put my finger on it until is seen the frost on our ceiling!

Energy Werx Alberta responded very quickly to my request for a post-retrofit evaluation. The evaluator was Emerson Dickie, who was just excellent: very capable and highly professional. He responded to all of my questions quickly and thoughtfully. You're in very good hands if Emerson is helping you!

I highly recommend anyone interested in Solar to contact Energy Werx for your Home Energy Evaluation. I had Emerson Dickie. A well communicator and is extremely professional. He took the time to explain the entire process and answered all my questions. Both Emerson and office staff were great from Pre-Eval to Post-Eval. Thank you very much.

Absolutely fantastic service from these guys. My evaluator James had the reports and documents ready for me in a very timely manner, and the communication and willingness to answer any questions I had for them was top notch. Highly recommend these guys.
