Initial inspection by Brett was fine. Post inspection by Jesse was quick. Getting an accurate report for loan/rebate submission has been a nightmare. So many errors, so little efforts to correct them. Very little response. Would never recommend.

What a joke of a company. Took MONTHS to process anything... 4 months later, still have not processed my grant, and now I have to wait another four months. OH... and good luck getting a call back 🙂

Seems like they let go all of their office staff after the grant application in February and it's a gong show now DO NOT RECOMMEND.

When this company was recommended to us, they came quickly to site and did the pre-evaluation. We did run into a problem with the work not being sent into the portal. It turns out that Andreas had to let one person go from the company due to poor performance. After that point, Andreas took over our file and got it done quickly and professionally and with good communication. He made it right! When it came time for the post-evaluation, Dave communicated clearly with us and was extremely professional on the phone, on-site and online afterwards. Though I was uncertain when the first worker was not following through, the company made certain that everything was followed through with professionalism and in a timely manner.

Quick to come conduct the pre-retrofit evaluation and advisor nice, friendly and efficient. We received our report a few days later but the experience loading to Canada Greener Homes took over two months due to failure to load the reports to the portal. Same experience for post retrofit. Quick to book and same advisor but the filing and paperwork still isn’t submitted to Canada Greener homes and it has been over two months. Continually emailing for update on progress and ensuring no processing errors (again) but now we are 2\2 on administrative failure and they’ve admitted it wasn’t done. Certainly unhappy with the service we have received and the amount of money we are still without from completing an extensive retrofit. Would not recommend based on this happening twice though now that Canada Greener Homes isn’t accepting any applications I don’t imagine business will be as busy.

I suggest you do not use this company for your energy evaluations. Their primary focus seems to be money not customer service. It was 4 months of emails and miscommunications to get them to complete the simple task of changing the post retrofit report they had done the previous year for us for the Greener Homes grant, to a pre-retrofit report so I could apply for the government loan. This involved paperwork only and yet they insisted on charging me another $300. When I finally switched to a different energy evaluation company, something I should have done much sooner, that company did this job for me at no cost, despite them not even having done the initial assessment. Very disappointing service from EnergyWerx Nanaimo.

Very professional, easy to talk with and very helpful as it is kind of confusing how to do all the steps ( at least it was for me )

He never hesitated to help whenever I had a question or needed further guidance.

EnergyWerx provided me pre-retrofit inspection. The inspector was awesome and very helpful! I have no complaints about him. 30 days later I was wondering why Greener Homes still hasn't received the report. I wanted to get started with the renovations. I called Energy Werx and left several messages. I email them, I tried calling other departments and there was no response. I couldn't get through to them. Eventually I found a way to contact the guy that did my inspection and after he looked in to it he found that their was an error when submitting and it would take several more days just to fix. After a few days I started bugging them for confirmation that the report uploaded successfully. They confirmed that it did. A week later it appeared on Greener homes. I waited an entire month while EnergyWerx had a submission error and nobody knew it..

After the renovations I wanted to make sure that I didn't have the same issue with my post-retrofit inspection. I asked if they can keep an eye on the submission to make sure their aren't any errors. I was assured that their won't be issues this time. Three weeks later I reached out to the inspector again and after looking it to it guess what he discovered? An error. He said that Greener Homes had closed my account due to inactivity... This was impossible. I was very fast with my renovation and retrofit inspections. Also the Greener Homes portal stated "in progress - awaiting post-retrofit report". I suggested that they probably uploaded the report to the wrong application. The next day I received an email stating that my report was successfully uploaded and I could proceed to request my refund.

I don't know why they had such trouble uploading my reports. I was further surprised by their lack of desire to help, aside from the inspector.

Matt was wonderful to work with - extremely professional and helpful for our pre and post energy assessments. Scheduling the assessments with the office was easy and they were able to fit us in within a week both times. Would highly recommend for anyone going through the home retrofit and rebates process in BC.
