So for out of town jobs they can only inspect once a week. Even for towns that are growing fast. Sometimes they can’t make it so you have to wait two weeks for a single inspection. If you pay though, they can have someone out there next on top of all the costs they charge you per inspection and yearly. Total rip off and they don’t enforce anything done by non trades. ESA is an absolute joke and needs to be reconstructed as they lie and say they’re “a non profitable organization”. Complete and utter garage. Wish I could give a minus.

Exceptionally nice staff to deal with. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Among the best customer service I have ever dealt with in Canada. Message to all contractors " ESA is there to help you and not intimidate you"; Yes I am a contractor as well.

This place is somewhat of a joke, even with some great inspectors there is fair amount of rude and unprofessional ones that don’t want to get out of the truck and find it an inconvenience when you call them to ask anything that can make the inspection go smooth. Let alone even call you back within a day or 2.

The office staff or least when I speak with them seem unorganized and have no idea what is going on or how to answer basic ESA related questions. Anytime you ask to speak to someone in management or above they are always “out of office” or on “vacation”.

The amount of money they take out of the actual contractors pocketa is a little over the top for what they actually do on site. With the inspectors I am appreciative of the way the no site visits work but to not you know until 4-6 PM when they “get around” to updating there system. I know they are busy but I’ve had homeowner/business owners and my self wait hours to never even see the inspector to find out he has passed it only from an email at the very end of the day.

Just a little more organization and potential back end development would be greatly appreciated by most contractors.

Did not even show up in person to inspect. Pot light installer charged $150 for a ‘third party inspection’ so we’d have something to show our lights were professionally installed. Got a ‘certificate’ via text for our $150. Total scam.

I had a few issues getting the inspection done. The inspectors would show up without making an appointment. The inspector left his card and a note so I called the inspector, Gerald D'Aloisio and we set up an appointment. He was very cooperative about setting the appointment, quick and efficient. Not sure why ESA didn't try to set up an appointment previous to this, they seem to just send their guys out blindly.

Absolutely perfect end to end service.
Call center agents are super friendly and professional, and the wait time was very short. The inspector they sent me couldn't have been more helpful, knowledgeable and professional. AMAZING work team, keep it up.

Was given a 2 hour window for the inspection. No one showed up. After 4 hours I called and was told the inspection was passed, they simply just passed based on photos. Did not notify me at all that the "inspection" was completed and left me waiting for hours.
