They submitted incorrect application for our Canada Greener Homes rebate and, instead of acknowledging their mistake, falsely claimed it was due to the windows not being eligible. We have been waiting six months for the grant, which is significant for us, and we expected them to recognize their error and resolve the issue promptly.

Very bad experience with their audit work and the delays and the grave errors with the paperwork. First, they took 3 weeks longer than they had promised to submit our HER application, and after 6 months, when we received our rebate, the amount is wrong and substantially lower than what we should have received.
Upon calling Enbridge, it turns out that they have made a huge mistake, and they are supposed to resubmit a new application for revaluation, which would cause further delays in receiving the rebate.
And adding salt to the wound, the agent, Heather, has been very dismissive and rude to us and would not tell us how and when they will rectify the issue. Since they have been paid in full, they do not care what kind of application they have submitted.

Please do your due diligence and find a proper energy auditing firm. Do not be fooled by the ratings. Ask your contractors to recommend an auditor and make sure to call a few places and get a bunch of quotes before committing.

I would never recommend Ecologic Energy Advisors. They don’t care about your situation and seem to give advice based on their own profits. I contacted them specifically to apply for the government’s Heat Pump grant for one of our multifamily properties. Instead of informing me that multifamily homes aren’t eligible for the grant, they scheduled a pre-audit.

In their report, they suggested replacing the AC with a $7,000 heat pump, but buried in the small print was a note saying the heat pump wasn’t eligible for multifamilies. I missed that detail and went ahead with the replacement. When I applied for the post-audit, I was told I wasn’t eligible for the grant due to the multifamily issue—something the advisor should have made clear before the audit.

Ecologic is more focused on making money than protecting their clients from costly mistakes. Avoid this company.
