Our experience with Delta T Energy and in particular with the owner Andy Irvine started almost 10 years ago when in mid December 2014 our furnace and tankless water heater (Navien) first started to only work intermittently and then stopped working altogether right on December 24th. Andy showed up at our house on Christmas Day morning and tried everything humanly possible to get the unit working and our heating back. The on-demand system, however, was not repairable. Andy came back several times during the following days to prepare everything for a new unit to be installed and also negotiated with the manufacturer to get us a new unit covered by warranty which actually just had expired. Andy installed the new unit and fixed all the connections added a new pump and other parts that the original system installer missed and made sure everything was working properly. The unit has been working ever since. Andy and members of his crew have been working at our house several times over the last ten years on various projects including an installation of a heat pump and service to our solar-water heating system. Andy has never tried to sell us or install anything we did not need and on several occasions Andy talked to me through fixing a problem via a phone call without charging me. We always received excellent service from Andy and his team and can recommend Delta T as a very reliable and competent service contractor who will go the extra mile for you if you need their services.

Andy and his guys are wonderful. They are always nice to talk with and at ready to explain everything. We had a very nice experience of our new furnace’s installation. From Andy’s first site visit, taking measurements, to installation, and to final commission report, they had done the job professionally and with high standards in mind. Everything had been done on schedule and went well. We like people keeping their promises. On top of that, Andy made us aware that there were issues about our tankless water heater which was installed by others couple of years ago, and then had his guy fixed the problem for us. If this is not an excellent service, what is. We absolutely recommend Andy and Delta T Energy.

Andy and his staff were a pleasure to deal with! Installation of 2 new AC units went seamless and Andrew was always right on top of everything to make our lives so easy. The owner(Andy) used to help me install an Air conditioning in the past but hard to give a satisfied rating this time. My AC stops working and I called a guy came to do the diagnose, the technician spent couple hours and made the conclusion that the outside unit(condenser)is still working but the signal didn’t deliver from the central unit to the condenser, but it is too late and also too hot for him to go into the attic. The guy is busy to come back and told me ok to find another personal to take over the job and this is where the story started. I am trying to explain to Andy the conclusion from previous guy which condenser is working and most likely issue caused by the control pad or wire connection. Not sure if andy has forwarded this message to his technician as the guy who came seems doesn’t know this at all and spend the time to check everything all over again, it took at least one hour for the person to figure out need to check the unit in the attic. The reason i remember this because he told me that he didn’t bring the longer ladder and need to come back, yes not joking the AC technician didn’t his ladder. I lend him one and it took another 2 hours for him to find the issue which is the same conclusion as the previous tech and I have already told the owner already.

Drama then starts, they charged me 3 hours labour with only a diagnose conclusion, my AC is still not working. I called Andy mention that I am expecting my AC be fixed rather than a doctor prescription, Andy told me this is electrician job, he can not do it but will refer a very good electrician to help me.

I contacted the electrician, the electrician do not even want to come for this small rewiring project and I called Andy back, he seems surprised but at the end no electrician came. I contacted my own electrician, he told me this low volt wiring is normally should be done by AC service as lots of time involved drilling hole on surface and AC service has more experience how to handle it. Anyway, Andy send a guy after a week but tell me can only have a temporary solution to get the unit working and Andy will find an electrician to have the permanent wiring later, i told him i can wait for the permanent solution if his wiring just for temporary, he called his boss and his boss confirm that will have the permanent solution after he back from vacation. Yes, they need to charge this again even it is just a temporary solution.

No follow up since after and it has been one month and 11 days, my AC still not working and the summer is gone already. After paid the bill, i tried to Andy about the bill why it need 3 hours to diagnose a problem already has been partially diagnosed as he told me it is probably took couple hours for them to fix the simple issue. And the owner is very rude to abuse me that “Hey Eric, do you have some financial hardship? Why do you question me for 1 hour labour?” Pretty cool, is it? Btw, the owner never show up during the entire process, I think maybe he used to be good but seems just care less now when his business is big. Never-mind, I am glad I can get rid of this hassle from my mind. Good luck!

We had a Trane heat pump installed in 2020 with three inner fans in our three upstairs bedrooms. We found the downstairs wasn’t cooling enough so we initially wanted to move one of the bedroom fans to the hall.

We called numerous hvac companies and Delta T Energy were the most responsive and also mentioned the option of having a fourth fan installed in our kitchen/tv area which is one of the hotter rooms when outside temperatures increase.

Andy gave a detailed quote and timeline for the addition and was bang on with cost and time to complete the job.

Dan did the instal and was tidy and courteous.

Great service from Delta T. Would recommend and they don’t mind coming to North Vancouver from Delta! Which can be an issue with some companies on the other side of the bridge.

Delta (Andy) came to look at our furnace. After a quick review he advised 1 part needed replacement and was able to obtain the part the same day. We had consulted Ashton first and they recommended replacing our entire furnace for ~$6000-7000! Delta replaced the 1 part for $300 and advised even if we had to replace the furnace it should only cost ~$4500. Appreciate Delta's honesty and their quick response. Will recommend to others.

We got to experience how effective a Trane mini-split heat pump system is during the first heat wave of 2021 while visiting relatives. We looked up Delta T right away to get a quote for our own home.
Andy came promptly and gave us his advice on a system, and gave us the information we needed to make informed decisions. We did our research, called him back, and made our decision on the layout of the system we wanted. The final quote was right in line with the original quote, good value and there were no surprises. He was honest about the current lack of availability of system components, but was able to secure the components we needed.
His installers were very respectful and I believe did a quality job in the way our system is laid out. They were clearly experienced and took the time necessary to do a careful installation which I appreciated.
So far we are very pleased with how the system works. We would definitely recommend Andy and Delta T as a quality local contractor. I can also attest that Trane is a very quiet mini split heat pump system.

We have had an ongoing issue with our Trane furnace for the past 4 years. We have brought in several HVAC companies and not one has been able to figure out our problem. That is until we contacted Andy at Delta T. They came out the day after our call and figured out the problem. Very impressed! They did all we asked and more! you won't be disappointed!!
