I use this place all the time as it is located very close to my home. I have been doing a major clean up of property and garage so I have made quite a few trips. The staff are friendly and helpful. In December the Monaris machines went down, they allowed people to drop off and come back to pay. Very accommodating.

My only concern is that I was there on Sunday. I had very little garbage, it was mostly cardboard and it fit in the very back of my small SUV. When I weighed in and out, it was 70 pounds. Realistically, there is no way that I had 70 pounds of mostly cardboard to dump. Not sure if the scale needs calibrating. I am also not sure if the first 100 is flat rate, not really sure.

Picked up a screw. It's not worth coming here.
Called the office right after asking for help if they knew anyone just to plug a tire. They said they couldn't help me.

We have been using DBL at Church road in Parksville for 7 years for all of our garden debris, house renovations waste, mulch, gravel & soil needs. the staff is awesome....Dixie is fantastic, the weekend boys are friendly, delivery is always quick and easy! It's funny to say I love going to the dump.....but it's always fun to go to DBL!!! Keep up the good work...

Convenient, less expensive than alternatives, and easy-going friendly staff.
Only one scale so enter and exit can be confusing, but I’ve never had to wait for either.
The traffic in the yard can seem a bit confusing at times, with all kinds of people and vehicles unloading in different locations, watch for traffic.

Thank you so much for the wonderful service and for correcting the mix up when wrong product was delivered. I now have received delivery of the proper rock and the young man that unloaded it was amazing. As he was backing the truck into position he stopped to let me know that a baby lizard had just ran behind and onto the tarp that I had in position. He waited whilst I chased the Gecko to safety. Will need about 12 more yards so I know who I am going to call. You guys ROCK!
