Your number is not assigned just tried multiple times to call in a dead deer by the road. I then called the none emergency police number. They gave me a number to call at the court house I called multiple times with no answer and no information from the automated message on how to contact a conservation officer.

I have lived here for approximately 2 1/2 years and you have killed more wildlife than I care to admit to. Coming from Port Coquitlam where we have made strides, leaps and bounds to learn to live with the animals in order to cause less death to them... Why have these options not been looked at here in Courtenay and surrounding areas.. I am so saddened by the Cougars.. why were they not relocated and even rehab to spark that wildness in them instead of finding our homes attractive.. this would not have happened if the mom had not been killed.. We have to learn to live with our creatures, they are the balance to the over population of the deer and so forth...

I am disgusted at the recent killing of 3 cougars!!!!! There needs to be action to save these predators not just kill them cause they are hungry. I thought a conservation office was supposed to try and help wildlife. Not just put a bullet in it when it is just trying to survive. There has to be another way. Reach out to the public if you need volunteers to help relocate problem wildlife. At least give them a chance at relocating them. We need to change our way of thinking.

Tried to call in a deer that had been hit by another driver and was walking in circles but this phone number was “unassigned”.
