Today on a Saturday they closed all day for a funeral with no announcement on their website. Thanks for wasting half our day and gas money! Only in the world of public sector largess could this disregard for the taxpayers who fund them actually happen. They have no contingency plan for someone dying other than shutting the whole place down on the busiest day of the week for a funeral? Wish I could run a private sector business that way.
Beyond this, despite preaching for years how we should all be reducing, reusing and recycling, they still won't accept kitchen waste for composting.

Our visit to the recycle area on Saturday June 29th, was made really easy by a young fellow by the name of Luke.
He was so friendly, pleasant and helpful.
Very positive and was a wonderful example of customer service.
Thank you Luke!

Fantastic hiking at mattress mountain with challenging technical routes and breathtaking views from the summit. I recommend doing an overnighter (don't bother packing an air mattress) so you can take in the majestic scenery at the break of dawn.

First off, the staff are friendly and well trained. Managment sucks.

They put up tall railings so you have to throw your heavy garbage over the top of them to get it into the bins. I guess 1 guy fell in a bin across the entire province so now everyone has to risk back injuries lifting stuff over railings.

I work 5 days a week every week so the Thursdays and Fridays when they accept hazardous materials never work for my schedule leaving me with the 12 Saturdays/year to dispose of them properly. I have a busy life so I’m left with maybe 1-4 Saturdays over the course of a year where I can dispose of hazardous materials properly.

This leaves me with a few options,

1) keep these materials for months in my small shop cluttering up my space and adding fire risk to my shop/home
2) throw these materials in my household garbage where they could cause harm to the workers on the garbage truck
3) throw these materials into the bins at the dump with the rest of my garbage.

I tend to choose option 3. I try to do the right thing but, when it is made unnecessarily difficult I’m not going to waste my time. I can only follow the incentives setup for me
