I would give Clear Minds a zero if it were an option. Here's why. I booked a free (you get what you pay for) consultation on a Wednesday for the following Friday morning at 10:00 am. I received a confirmation of the consultation on the Thursday (day before appt) with Kyla Hooper. On the morning of the appointment, just over an hour before actual consult time, I receive another email claiming that she had to rebook as she was in a Summit all day. VERY short notice. Also no apology whatsoever for the short notice! So let me get this straight. You were not aware you had a Summit all day until the morning of the summit. WTH. SO I asked that question. Response was not very professional as she claims the online booking are NOT appointments but a consultation. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE it is still an appointment! Her answer to that was, get this. The online bookings she doesn't see until the day off the consult. Well then how do you not have a lot of double bookings. And despite a couple of emails back and forth no apology for this was ever offered!! NONE. Just excuses. If you are dealing with people with mental health issues how do you behave this way in good conscious? I will be filing a complaint with her regulatory body as well. This was a very bad experience and so poorly handled. She claims I was abusive in my email. I was not. I only pointed out that the online booking system should be changed as I couldn't see how that would work and that she failed to apologize in her first email. NOT abusive just my opinion. I had asked if we could then move the appt./consult (whatever you want to call it) to the following morning at 9:00 as she had indicated she was available any other day at 9. She never even sent me a reply until I emailed again on the following Tuesday. This is totally unacceptable for any business really, but especially when dealing with people with mental health issues!

Kyla’s approach is refreshing. My partner and I benefited from the first session. We’re both looking forward to the next session for a change (recently coming from traditional therapy). If you haven’t tried SFBT, I highly recommend it.
